Joshua Michael Stern’s jOBS is the true story of the visionary, Steve Jobs, who set out to change the world and did. In 1976, college dropout Jobs (impressively played by Ashton Kutcher) heralded a revolution within the confines of his parents’ garage. Jobs, along with friend and technical wizard Steve Wozniak (Josh Gad), unleashed the first Apple computer kits onto an unsuspecting public. Apple Inc. was soon born, and the world would never be the same. Today, millions of users around the world remain tethered to the products that Jobs championed – his impact on the world of technology was colossal, as was his effect on popular culture. The road that Jobs took to achieve his goals, however, was a tumultuous one, and this is a fascinating insight into the forces and experiences that shaped the Apple founder.
