Visiting a winery and meeting the winemakers is an enjoyable experience but actually staying at the vineyard, waking to the vines gently waving a morning greeting can take it to a whole new level, especially when you're talking the beautiful Geographe wine region of Western Australia.
Our friends at Bonking Frog Wines have just opened a brand new vineyard cottage and would love you to come and stay. To entice you to make those travel plans, we're giving you the chance to win three or four night's accommodation in this lovely part of WA, just 2 hours from Perth.
Book in Friday after 2pm and you don't have to leave until Monday morning (don't we all hate those early Sunday morning checkouts!) or you can book in after 2pm on a Monday and not leave until Friday morning.
Enjoy breakfast on your deck overlooking the vineyard then go exploring. From the crystal clear waters of the Geographe Bay to the rolling hills of Donnybrook, and the fertile plains of Harvey there are wineries, breweries and great local food to match.
You’ll discover a diverse range of wines from traditional varieties through to Spanish and Italian alternatives, all grown and produced by a vibrant group of individuals. As the majority of wineries and breweries in the region are family owned and operated you’ll often find yourself chatting to the owner and winemaker/brewer at the various cellar doors.
The quaint rural towns of Boyanup and Dardanup are both ten minutes away. Dardanup is the gateway to the beautiful Ferguson Valley known for the outstanding wines grown there. While in Boyanup you can enjoy lunch at the refurbished Bull and Bush Tavern or wander through a small but eclectic group of stores in the main street.
The city of Bunbury is also an easy 10 minute drive – here you can dine out at one of the many award winning restaurants, or perhaps enjoy a movie or show at the Regional Entertainment Centre. During the day why not visit the Dolphin Discovery Centre or take a dip in the ocean. Swimming with the wild dolphins is an experience not to be missed!
During your stay the lovely Julie will take you on a tour of the Bonking Frog sustainable vineyard (see if you can pick its namesake!) and guide you through a tasting of their wines.

It's often blended with other, stronger varieties but at Bonking Frog, they've taken up the challenge to bring out the very best of the style with all the love and attention possible and build its repututation as a stand-alone beauty. We certainly think they're making it work.
Each half case will include a mix of three merlots and their recently introduced (and aptly named) lively white:

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
This prize does not include travel to Western Australia. First prize is accommodation for one couple at Bonking Frog Wines of North Boyanup, near Bunbury in Western Australia, valued at A$485 including a complimentary bottle of wine, tour of the vineyard and tasting with the owners. Accommodation can be booked either as a three night package (Friday 2.00 pm to Monday 10.00 am) or a four night package (Monday 2.00 pm to Friday 10.00 am).
Bookings are subject to availability and prize valid until 30th November 2014. This prize is vineyard accommodation only and does not cover any other costs associated with redeeming the prize (eg travel to and from the state or venue, meals or other personal expenses).Prize is not redeemable for cash.
Supporting prizes are one of four mixed half cases of Bonking Frog wine (RRP A$80 each plus delivery). We regret this prize can only be sent around Australia as wine cannot be delivered overseas.
