TERMS AND CONDITIONS
METHOD OF ENTRY
Information on how to enter and Prize details form part of the terms of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
The Promoter is GE Capital Finance Australia (ABN 42 008 583 588) of 572 Swan Street, Richmond, Vic 3121 trading as GE Money, Australian Credit Licence number 392145.
The promotion commences on Sunday 29th September 2013 at 00:01 (AEDT) and concludes on Saturday 26th October 2013 at 23:59 (AEDT) (“Promotional Period”).
The promotion is open to residents of Australia who are aged 18 years and over, who:
• are new or existing customers,
• are the account holder,
• have an account that is up to date and not in default,
• make a an interest free purchase until 2015 with the minimum financed amount of $1,500 or more in one transaction; and
• complete the transaction (including “sale” and “delivery” of goods) by Friday 22nd November 2013.
during the sale period (promotional period) on their Gem Visa, GE CreditLine, Buyer’s Edge or GO MasterCard card. Purchases must be made at a participating Super Amart store within the Promotional Period (“Eligible Entrant”). All Eligible Entrants will automatically be entered into the draw for their chance to win. Each eligible interest free purchase will gain 1 entry into the draw. The promotion will be promoted via the Super Amart September catalogue, TVC and in store Point Of Sale material at Super Amart stores.
Employees and their immediate families of The Promoter, Salmat Digital Pty Limited and their associated agencies and companies are ineligible to enter.
The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of identity, proof of Australian residency status at the nominated Prize delivery address and/or proof of entry validity, in order to claim a Prize. Acceptance of proof of identification, Australian residency and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of The Promoter. In the event that a winner cannot provide proof, the winner will forfeit the Prize and a redraw will take place.
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who has, in the opinion of the Promoter, engaged in conduct in entering the Promotion which is fraudulent, misleading, and deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of Super Amart the Promotion and/or Promoter.
Entries must be received by Saturday 26th October 2013 23:59 (AEDT). Any entry received after the expiry of the promotion period will be deemed invalid. The time of entry will in each case be the time the purchase is recorded on the Promoter’s database. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected entries due to technical disruptions, network congestion or for any other reason.
THE PRIZE
There will be 1 x Major Prize winner, who will be issued with a $10,000 Super Amart gift voucher (“The Prize”) in the name of the winning cardholder.
The total maximum Prize value is $10,000 (including GST).
The Prize can be collected at the nearest Super Amart store to the winner. The Prize can only be redeemed at Super Amart stores. The Prize is valid for 24 months from the date of issue.
All eligible entries will be automatically entered into the Major Prize draw. 1 x valid entrant will be drawn at random to become the winner. The draw will take place at Salmat Digital Pty Limited, Level 2, 116 Miller Street, North Sydney NSW 2060, on Wednesday 27th November 2013 at 16:00 (AEDT). The Prize winner will be notified by a representative of GE Capital within 2 days of the draw in writing and by phone. The winner’s first name, last name and state of residence will be published on the Public Notices section of The Australian newspaper on Wednesday 4th December 2012.
Subject to any direction given under relevant State legislation, an unclaimed Prize draw will take place at Salmat Digital Pty Limited, Level 2, 116 Miller Street, North Sydney NSW 2060 on Thursday 27th February 2013 at 16:00 (AEDT). The winner will be notified by a representative of GE Capital within 2 days of the draw either in writing and by phone. The winner’s first name, last name and state of residence will be published on the Public Notices section of The Australian newspaper on Thursday 7th March 2013.
The Prize is not subject to change. Unless, the Prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, then The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize for a Prize of equal or greater value, subject to State Regulation.
The Prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
Unless expressly stated in the terms and conditions all other expenses (including travel costs) become the responsibility of the winner.
It is a condition of acceptance of the Prize that the winning entrant’s account must be current (during the Promotional Period and at the time of the draws) and the winning entrant must not be in default under their contract (including monthly minimum payments).
Once the Prize has left the Promoter’s premises, the Promoter takes no responsibility for Prizes damaged, delayed or lost in transit. The Prize will be personally delivered by a representative of GE Capital within 28 days.
FINAL CONDITIONS
The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Promoter takes no liability for any tax issues which may arise from accepting a Prize in this competition. Consult an independent tax adviser if this is a concern.
The Prize value is correct at the time of printing (inclusive of GST). The promoter accepts no responsibility for change in Prize value between now and the ultimate Prize redemption date.
It is a condition of accepting the Prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the Prize and the Prize supplier’s requirements.
By entering the promotion, unless otherwise advised, each entrant also agrees that the Promoter may use this information, in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant, including sending the entrant electronic messages.
The Promoter, Super Amart and associated suppliers assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission; communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alterations of entries, and reserve the right to take any action that may be available. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, due to causes including, but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of GE Capital which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, GE Capital reserves the right in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition. Subject to state regulations.
Salmat Digital Pty Limited, on behalf of The Promoter, is collecting the entrant's personal information for the purpose of conducting and promoting this competition (including but not limited to determining and notifying winner). The entrant's personal information may be disclosed to Salmat Digital Pty Limited for this purpose. If you are not willing for this to occur you cannot participate in the Promotion
Entrants’ personal information may be disclosed to State and Territory lottery departments and winners’ names published as required under the relevant lottery legislation. For purposes of public statements and advertisements the Promoter will only publish the winner’s surname, initial and state. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the Promoter.
The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the competition. Entry is conditional on providing this information. Entrants agree that the Promoter may use the personal details provided to the Promoter for the purpose of conducting the competition. The Promoter may disclose personal information to its contractors, agents, any co-promoter and to State and Territory gaming departments, to assist in conducting this competition. Entrants' names may be published as set out in these Terms and Conditions. The Promoter may also use personal information for any promotional, marketing and publicity purposes of the Promoter. By entering this competition, each entrant consents to the storage of their personal information on the Promoter’s database and the Promoter and its related bodies corporate may use this information for future promotional and marketing purposes regarding the Promoter’s and its affiliates products including contacting the entrants via electronic messaging. Entrants can request access to the personal information the Promoter holds about them, or opt out of future marketing communications by contacting the Promoter.
