The four years since the release of his album The Rocky Road have been busy for Damien Dempsey. Dempsey also collaborated with renowned Irish graffiti artist Maser on the project ‘They Are Us’. Inspired by Dempsey’s lyrics, Maser painted giant masterpieces of Dempsey’s words on derelict buildings in Dublin. His bold colours and style transformed the sounds and poetry of Dempsey’s songs into the very definition of street art on the Dublin cityscape.
Since his first live outings in the mid-1990s, Damien’s gigs have seen him wow audiences across the globe. These outings have been captured on two recordings: Live at the Olympia and Live from Vicar Street. Earlier this year saw him take his show across Australia, playing a series of sell-out shows all over the country as well as a packed-out appearance at Bluesfest.
