Terms & ConditionsThe competition opens Wednesday 13 November 2013,
and closes at 23:59 Sunday 15 December 2013 (AEDT, Australian Eastern Daylight Time).Entrants must be residents of Australia, and aged 18 or over to qualify. Proof of residency may be required to qualify valid entrants. Employees of RCG Brands Pty Ltd (the Promoter), Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority, Air Niugini and Kokoda Historical, their immediate families, agents, holding companies or anyone else professionally associated with the competition are ineligible to enter this promotion. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of Eligible Participants.
Entry is via the Merrell promotional website and entry is restricted to one entry per person. No purchase necessary. All data collected will be pooled for the competition prize draw. Incomplete entries will not be included. It is the entrants' responsibility to complete the application (entry) form in full. The Promoter is not responsible for any technical issues (or other), which impedes an entrants' entry being submitted correctly, and/or in full. The Promoter is not responsible for any changes in e-mail, mailing address and/or telephone number provided at time of entering the prize draw. The Promoter is in no way liable for the reproduction or indirect access via third party web site or home page access which reproduction misstates or omits any of the information or terms and conditions connected with the promotion.
The competition prize draw will take place and the winner notified by 15 January 2014. One winner will be chosen by an independent judge, who will assess and decide on the best answer given, which he/she feels best meets the criteria. The judge's decision is final, and no further correspondence will be entered into.
Once notified via the email address supplied at point of entry, the winner will have 14 days to reply with acceptance of their prize. Should the selected winner not reply within 14 days of being notified, then it will be deemed that the prize winner has forfeited their prize, and the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify that entrant without liability and offer the prize to the next eligible entrant drawn at random. If after a further 14 days there has been no acceptance notification received by the newly drawn winner, then the prize will be cancelled.
The ONE competition prize consists ONLY of the below items:

Australian domestic connections or airport transfers – winners will need to arrange their own travel to/from either Sydney, Brisbane or Cairns international airports

Personal porter to carry your pack during the Kokoda Track Tour – this is an optional extra and can be purchased for an additional AUD$680)

Any other excursions, travel, accommodation, attractions or tips

All other expenses are the responsibility of the prize winner/s.
Both travellers must be over 18 years of age. Both must hold a valid in-date passport, and visa (if required) for travel to Papua New Guinea and, where necessary, must have necessary vaccinations and inoculations together with documentation proving this. Passports require a minimum 6 months validity from date of travel. The winner/s must arrange (at their own expense) comprehensive travel & medical insurance cover for the full duration of their prize trip.
The prize winner, and their travelling companion, must travel together on both outbound and inbound flights, and travel on the same itinerary within Papua New Guinea. Tickets must be booked as return flights. Air travel will be on Air Niugini operated services only. No stopovers or upgrades are allowed. Frequent Flyer points cannot be accrued on prize travel. Travel is subject to Air Niugini's standard terms and conditions.
The prize is valid until 30 August 2014, and all prize travel must be taken in full by this date. All elements of the prize are subject to availability, are non-transferable, non-refundable, non-negotiable and there are no cash alternatives. The prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount from the prize partners or any third party. Prize travel is subject to availability and capacity control. It should be noted that both the availability of relevant flight seats and relevant tour positions must match and it is advisable to have at least three sets of desired dates for flexibility purposes. Black-out dates apply and include peak travel times.
Once a booking has been made and ticketed, and confirmation provided to the prize winner, no further changes to the booking are allowed.
The two pairs of Merrell hiking shoes are subject to availability and include only those products as advertised and sold within Australia. The hiking shoes will be shipped to one Australian address only. Maximum value allowed is AUD$360. Any purchase above this amount may be paid as extra by the prize winner/s.
This Promoter has the right to change or withdraw the competition and/or prize elements at any time, and without prior notice. The Promoter (and prize partners) also reserve the right to provide substitute prizes (of similar value) should the specified prize become unavailable for reasons beyond their control. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency, disaster or any other circumstance beyond the control of the Promoter and the individual prize partners, the Promoter reserves the right to either provide a substitute prize (of similar value), or to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
The Promoter (and prize partners) shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), nor do they take any responsibility for any disappointment, injury or loss incurred by the prize winner from accepting the prize or participating in the promotion.
By entering this promotion and ticking to accept the prize draw terms and conditions, you accept that the Promoter, and the individual prize partners, may use your name for their promotional and publicity purposes, without the payment of any fee, nor the requirement for prior notification or permissions. You also accept that by entering this promotion, you will automatically be subscribed to future communications by the Promoter, and the individual prize partners, however you may unsubscribe from each individual company's communications at any time.
