This Summer Dan Frodsham’s Newcastle Surf School will be running the SURFGROMS program lessons at Nobbys beach and Blacksmiths beach everyday during the school holidays. SurfGroms is a national junior development program for children aged 5-12 yrs to encourage kids to participate in surfi ng around Australia and to promote a healthy lifestyle. SurfGroms lessons will consist of 8 to 12 hours of beach & ocean awareness and safe surf activities, with surfi ng levels 1 to 5 as you progress. SurfGroms have two age groups, MiniGroms 5-8yrs and SuperGroms 9-12yrs. Each grom will also receive a surf pack from Quiksilver and Wahu valued at $200.00. Parents are also welcomed and encouraged to come along and lend a hand or grab a board and get involved as well.
