Prize: There is 1 (one) first prize package as the prize for this competition. The 1st (first) prize package consists of a single voucher to be used at the property as identified by the entrant. This package includes food, beverages, accommodation and extras included up to, but not exceeding to the value of $2500 (two-thousand, five hundred dollars) to be redeemed within 12 months of having received the voucher from Spicers Retreats.
The prize is not exchangeable or transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. If the full amount of the voucher ($2500) is not redeemed, the un-used balance will be forfeited. Any additional expenses incurred by the prize winners, other than those outlined in these terms and conditions, are the responsibility of the winners.
Prize and monetary values listed in this Terms and Conditions exclude any travel costs, insurances and taxes that may be incurred by the prize winners.
The competition period: The competition will be live from Friday, 7th of February, 2014. Until Friday, 21st February, 2014.
How to enter: Entrants must comment on the competition post on one (or more) of the official Spicers Retreats Facebook pages.
Eligibility: To be eligible to enter this competition, a person must:
a) be a permanent resident of Australia
b) be at least eighteen (18) years of age
c) have entered into the competition via the Facebook competition post on any of the seven (7) official Spicers Retreats property pages.
Competition Draw: Winners will be drawn on Monday, 24th February, 2014. The decision of Spicers Retreats on the winning post shall be conclusive and no correspondence will be entered into.
Winner Notification: The winners will be notified via All Spicers Retreats Property Facebook pages. Their name/s will be published on the respective pages with their winning comment.
Re-Draw: If the winner does not claim the prize or cannot be contacted via Facebook within 5 (five) business working days of competition close date, Spicers Retreats retains the right to redraw the prize winner until a contactable winner has been located and the prize is claimed. The sequential re-draw time is 24 hours per re-draw.
No Liability of Promoter: The Promoter Spicers Retreats accepts no responsibility whatsoever for late, misplaced, lost or ineligible posts on Facebook. To the extent permitted by law, Spicers Retreats are not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury sustained in connection with the entry into the competition or acceptance of the prize. This paragraph is not intended to exclude any liability which cannot be excluded under Australian consumer protection laws.
Important – Privacy: By entering into this competition, the entrant consents to information (including personal information) given by the entrant being stored on the Spicers Retreats database for the purpose of contacting the entrant for future offers and deals, as well as internal statistical research.
Accommodation Availability: Dates of Accommodation are subject to availability and the absolute discretion of Spicers Retreats. Normal booking conditions apply.
Indefinite Release: Entrants consent to the use of their name, image, photographs, video and comments by Spicers Retreats in any form of advertising, internal media, or promotional purposes.
Force Majeure: If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned (including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of Spicers Retreats), which corrupts or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, Spicers Retreats reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition. Spicers Retreats reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify all entries from any individual who tampers with, or benefits from tampering with, the entry process which as a result corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the competition.
In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders it’s determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; Spicers Retreats may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions.
