Can you smell that salty Mediterranean air? Can you taste that earthy red wine? Can you feel the sun on your neck?

If you’re stuck in an office a million miles from Rome, the reality is – you probably can’t. But if a trip to Italy isn’t on the cards anytime soon, never fear. This September and October, the Lavazza Italian Film Festival is returning for its 15th year and is sure to satisfy your craving for “la dolce vita”.

The 2014 line-up consists of an impressive mix of 34 features and documentaries, with films including stars such as Monica Belluci, Raoul Bova and Claudio Santamaria. This year the festival will visit eight cities across Australia, treating audiences in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Hobart and Byron Bay.

With so many stellar films on offer, it’s going to be hard to figure out your schedule for the festival. To help you, we’ve pulled together a few of our favourites from this year’s line-up – we even have some double passes up for grabs for a lucky few.
