THE Dungog community, despite suffering deaths and devastation during the April storm, have pulled together to ensure this year's Planet Dungog Music Festival goes ahead as planned.
The community-run festival, set to run May 29, 30 and 31, brings together music, art, poetry, comedy and even film under the one banner.
Organisers said that with support from the community and businesses, and with key venues now fully functional after last month's storm, the festival would go on.
"You can give a huge spiritual and economic lift to the people of Dungog by going along and enjoying the fantastic program," Dianne Pope from the organising committee said.
"In fact there is something for everyone ... folk, blues, rock, jazz and classical."
Pope said 50 per cent of the profits made from this year's festival would be donated towards the disaster recovery.
The festival features a jam-packed program full of musical acts covering the folk, country rock, jazz and classical genres.
Fifty acts were featured on the program, hailing from near and far, including Matt Zarb, The Beatles Unplugged with Strings Attached, Folklore, Grimick, Jumping Fleas and Dingo's Breakfast.
Newcastle duo Nerds and Music, band The Buzzard Mix, Fat Yahoozah and The Ukastle Ukestra group would also perform across the three days.

The historic James Theatre would be a key venue this year, along with the Dungog Memorial RSL, Doug Walters Pavilion, Uniting Church and CWA Hall.
A silent film would be shown at the theatre on Sunday, which would be accompanied by pianist Jan Preston.
For those aged 12 to 17, tickets start at $10 and go up to $50 for the three days and for adults, prices start at $20 and go up to $110.
Early bird tickets are on sale until May 28.
The Examiner has one double season pass to give away, which allows the winner access to all shows and the silent film, valued at $220.
