We’ve said it before but, heck, we’ll say it again: Chappelli Cycles are the honest-to-goodness real deal. Founded by the son of an Italian Tour de France bike-maker, they aim to make the lowest priced, best quality bicycles in Australia. That’s a difficult tightrope to walk, but we think their new range of vintage single and three-speeds does so with Philippe Petit-level aplomb.

With raked forks, old-fashioned cranks and a vintage style saddle, their new model evokes the classic age of ’50s and ’60s era cycling without scrimping on modern comforts: a lightweight chrome alloy frame ensures a smooth ride while providing all the structural integrity of heavy steel (and comes with a ten-year warranty).

The single speeds are available at their Melbourne, Sydney and online stores now, with the three-speeds coming late June.
