POSTCARDS FROM DREAMWORLD
The following terms and conditions apply for the Grant Broadcasters POSTCARDS FROM DREAMWORLD
promotion.
These terms and conditions apply in conjunction with Grant Broadcasters Network General Contest Rules. Where
there is any inconsistency, these terms and conditions will prevail.
Participating Stations: Hitz 93.9 Bundaberg
1. DURATION
The active promotion will begin Monday 15 February until Friday 4th March
2. METHOD OF ENTRY
Listeners will be invited at the nominated time to visit the website in Breakfast and Drive each day to look at the
current Postcard from Dreamworld. The random caller through at the nominated time will need to identify the
Dreamworld landmark the postcard is from to go in the draw for the major prize.
3. PRIZE
There will be one major prize to be announced at the end of the contest period. Includes
• Return Airfares for 2 adults and 2 children (0-12yrs inclusive) to Brisbane (max value $2k)
• 3 Nights’ Accommodation in Paradise Resort Gold Coast in a resort room (max value $900 rack rate)
• 3 Days Car Hire (max value $500)
• Unlimited Entry to Dreamworld and White Water World (value $376)
Prize Conditions
1. Selection of airline, departure and arrival destination, flight times and accommodation venue is at Dreamworld’s discretion at time of
booking.
2. The prize is subject to availability, cannot be taken during Queensland or New South Wales school holidays or during Gold Coast 600
Event dates, and is valid for a period of 6 months from the original draw date. Validity date of this prize cannot be extended.
3. Flight may only be taken from the nearest major airport to the winner’s place of residence to Brisbane.
4. The prize winner will be required to provide at least 3 weeks’ notice of intent to travel. All components of prize are subject to availability
at time of booking.
5. Accommodation will be in a Resort Room at Paradise Resort Gold Coast, located in Surfers Paradise. Resort Room accommodates 2
adults and 2 children (aged 0-12 yrs) inclusive. Any changes which are required to the specified accommodation are subject to availability
and at the expense of the prize winner. Winner is subject to the standard conditions of stay as defined by the resort.
6. Prize includes unlimited entry to Dreamworld, WhiteWater World and SkyPoint Observation Deck for 3 consecutive days from the date of
first use. Pass is not transferrable to another person after first use. Winner is subject to the standard conditions of entry at each attraction.
7. If the winner resides within a 3-hour drive or 240km from Dreamworld and WhiteWater World, airfares and car rental are not included in
the prize.
8. Once booked, any changes made to the booking may incur a cancellation fee of amendment fee, at the cost of the winner. The winner of
the prize (and their travel companions) will not accrue any frequent flyer points from taking the prize.
9. The car hire vehicle will be available upon arrival at Queensland, for pick from the airport and drop off on departure. It is a condition that
the hirer be 25 years and over, and hold a current Australian or New Zealand license. Provisional licenses and learner’s permits will not
be accepted. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for damage, mistreatment or ill manor to the hire car caused by the hirer. The
Promoter will not be liable for any additional expenses incurred by the hirer through mistreatment, illegal behaviors, or a violation of the car
hire's terms and conditions of use. The car hire only covers the day rate hire of the car, all insurance, petrol and damage costs will be the
responsibility of the prize-winner. Prize winner will need to present a current credit card for security purposes upon collection of the vehicle.
10. All components of the prize must be taken together. Travel Insurance is not included. Travel Prize does not include meals, spending money
or transport to and from departure and arrival points. All other ancillary and travel costs are the winner’s responsibility. All additional costs
incurred whereby the prize winner wishes to make variations to the travel are the winner’s responsibility and must be booked separately by
the winner. All travel variations are subject to approval by Ardent Leisure Limited upon booking. Travel variations include, but are not
limited to extension of travel duration, travellers outside of the age restriction and additional travellers.
11. Prizes cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash. In the event a winner does not take the prize by the time stipulated, then
the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of prize. Prizes must be taken as offered and cannot be varied.
Any unused portion of the prize is not-transferable, non-refundable and non-redeemable for other goods or services and cannot be taken
as cash.
12. The competition is open to Australian Residents. If the winner is under the age of 18 years the prize may be awarded, at the absolute
discretion of the promoter, to their parent or legal guardian. In the event that the winner is under 18 years of age, the winner must be
accompanied by an adult aged 21 years and over.
13. Any change in the value of the prize between publishing date and the date prize is claimed is not the responsibility of the promoter.
Prize contents or description may change at the discretion of Grant Broadcasters.
4. SELECTION OF WINNERS
The winner of the major prize will be randomly drawn from all entrants after 4pm Friday 4 march and announced in the
Breakfast show Monday 7 March.
5. NOTIFICATION
Prize winner will be notified on air at the time of winning. The winner will then be contacted by phone call to arrange
collection of the Major Prize.
6. INDEMNITY
All contestants release from, and indemnify GRANT BROADCASTERS against, all liability, cost, loss or expense
arising out of acceptance of any prize(s) or participation in the competition including (but not limited to) loss of income,
personal injury and damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act
or omission or otherwise.
7. ENTRY CONDITIONS.
Employees and their immediate families of are ineligible to enter. Employees and their immediate families of all
associated sponsors and participating companies are also ineligible to enter.
If after winners announcement a breach of eligibility is discovered, the prize will not be awarded.
8. ALTERATION OF CONTEST SPOTS.
Grant Broadcasters reserves the right to alter or drop contest hours from the competition in any or all markets due to
changed programming conditions in the event of a natural disaster or for any other unforeseeable reason.
