Terms and Conditions for Northern England ‘Go a little further’ Northern England digital competition

1.Promoter: British Tourist Authority trading as VisitBritain, Sanctuary Buildings, 20 Great Smith Street, London SW1P 3BT
2.Entry: The competition is open to residents of Australia who are aged 18 years or over, except employees of VisitBritain or any partner/agency connected with this competition, or family of staff working for any of these organisations. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants.
3.The competition is open for entry from 5pm (GMT) on Friday, 5 February 2016 and closing date for entries is midnight (GMT) on 31 March 2016. Any entries received after the closing date will not be accepted. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility for online entries which are not received or delays in receiving or delivering online entries.
4.There is one Northern England prize package to be won. The prize package will consist of:
•Return flights from Sydney or Melbourne to Manchester, for the winner plus one adult guest, subject to availability and flight connectivity. The winner and guest are responsible for making their own travel to and from the airport of departure. Once tickets are issued, they are non-alterable and non-transferrable.
•Two nights’ accommodation for two at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Manchester Hotel (two people sharing), including one dinner for two
•One nights accommodation for two at the Low Wood Hotel, Windermere (two people sharing)
•Two nights’ accommodation for two at the Macdonald Linden Hall (two people sharing), including one dinner for two and golf or a spa treatment
•Two nights’ accommodation for two at the Radisson Blu, Durham (two people sharing)
•Car hire
•Lunch for two at the Club House, Liverpool
•Lunch for two at the Waterhead Hotel, The Bar & Grill Restaurant, Ambleside
•Three course lunch for two at the House of Tides Newcastle
•Lunch at Betty’s Tea Room, York
•Tickets for two to Northern England attractions, including the National Football Museum, The Beatles Story tour, Tate Liverpool, Windermere Lake Cruise, Kielder Observatory (star gazing or outdoor activity experience), Vindolanda/Hadrian’s Wall, Durham Castle and Cathedral (guided tour and entry to Open Treasure), Beamish Museum (including lunch and guidebook), Life Sciences Centre Newcastle, York VIP pass (including entry to York Minster and Jorvick Viking Centre), walking tour of Newcastle.
5.Any additional costs not expressly stated, but which may be incurred in acceptance and use of the prize, are the responsibility of the winner and their guest. Such additional costs include, but are not limited to, meals and beverages not included in the prize, room service, telephone calls, laundry services, spending money, insurance and travel money and any other incidentals or gratuities.
6.To quality for entry into the competition entrants must answer the following: “Describe your dream holiday in Northern England”, complete all personal details and accept the competition terms and conditions.
7.This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner. Entries will be judged based on originality, creative merit and/or humour of the provided answer. Judging will take place from after 31 March 2016 at the promoter’s premises. The judges may select additional reserve entries and record them in case of an invalid entry or ineligible entrant.
8.The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome of the Prizes awarded.
9.The winners will be notified by email within 14 days of the competition closing date (midnight GMT on 31 March 2016). The winners will need to confirm that they accept the Prize within 14 days and provide proof of ID and their full postal address. The judges cannot accept responsibility for late responses.
10.Entry is limited to one per person.
11.The Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-changeable and no cash alternative is available. The Prize is subject to availability and the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize for one of equal or greater value.
12.The Promoter reserves the right to terminate, amend or extend this competition in the event of exceptional circumstances outside its control which affect its ability to operate the competition.
13.Publicity: The winners may be required to take part in publicity associated with this competition.
14.If entrants complete the relevant boxes on the entry form, their details will be retained by the British Tourist Authority trading as VisitEngland. VisitEngland will hold your details in accordance with its own privacy policies: https://www.visitengland.com/visitengland-privacy-policy
15.By entering the competition you agree to being contacted by VisitEngland to receive future communication, including destination information and for survey purposes.
16.The rules of this competition shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and the English Courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any disputes arising therefrom.

So glad to have seen this.  I'm from the North of England but had forgotten how much history, beauty and fun you can have in England without visiting the South or other countries in Britain... it was much easier to remember the rain.  Whoever wins this, you're in for a ball!
