This is a massive achievement and welcome news for the boys, who return home after a month long stint in Europe and the US, playing debut headline shows and SXSW.
Representing the exciting new breed of artists to come out of our fair land at their SXSW showcases, it wasnt long before the buzz surrounding the band caught up internationally, with The New York Times describing their sound as Coldplay sensibility and Radiohead edginess going on to say I predict that The Rubens will not be a baby band for long.
The great news doesnt stop there for fans of The Rubens to celebrate the Never Be The Same tour, Ivy League is set to release a limited edition deluxe album package of THE RUBENS debut self-titled album on 26 April. A stellar debut that landed at #3 on the ARIA Album chart, #1 in the iTunes Album chart and was certified gold late last year!
The deluxe package features a previously unreleased track and seven live recordings from their sold out show at Melbournes Forum Theatre late last year.
With the world starting to catch onto what we Aussies have known for a while now, the future couldnt be brighter for our tremendously talented and hard working boys, The Rubens.
