The third novel in the Crazy Rich Asians series, Rich People Problems follows the, well, crazy-rich lives of one of Asia's wealthiest families as its members vie for potential inheritance from their matriarch, Su Yi. A former creative consultant in the design and luxury industries, Kwan has witnessed first-hand the extreme lavishness of the lives he writes about, and says the experiences described in the book "are far closer to real life than most people can imagine... the truth is I often have to tone down the stories and details to make them more believable."
