Christmas is coming late this year. Forgive Santa, he was running on Black Time. Perth-based Emo The Comedian gifts Melbourne comedy lovers his brand-new hour of stand-up, Black Santa. Returning to Melbourne after a tumultuous 2020, Emo The Comedian is back to dig a little deeper into his experiences of culture-clash and offer local audiences a well deserved night out, lousy with laughs.
Drawing from his experience of fleeing war-torn Ethiopia as a refugee, having no idea what a Santa is, and growing up as a minority in 90s suburban Perth, Emo The Comedian’s upcoming MICF season is funny, clever, and socially relevant.
