Terms and Conditions
One (1) entry per person.
Entry is open from Monday 15 March to 11am Friday 2 April.
Winner will be decided by a random draw from entries completed by children 10 years or under.
Council accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete or invalid submissions.
Council reserves the right to ask for proof of association to the Mitchell area.
Mitchell Shire Council has total discretion to remove an entrant if fraudulent entry or voting is suspected.
By entering the competition, you have agreed to all terms and conditions.
Promotional Period
Competition opens Monday 15 March AEST and closes 12am Friday 2 April AEST.
Who can enter?
Any child aged 10 or under who lives, plays or attends a group, school, kindergarten or service within Mitchell Shire.
Entry requirements
Submit your entry via completing the colouring in sheet and return to any Mitchell Shire library or via post (Posting details are on the back of the entry form, no postage stamp is required).
Only one entry per child will go into the draw.
Entries must be received by 12am Friday 2 April 2021.
Entry is free.
Judging criteria
No names will be attached to the entries during the draw
Members of the judging panel are not permitted to submit an entry
The draw will be conducted by Mitchell Shire Council’s Community Development team on Wednesday 7 April 2021.
One entry will win the prize.
The winner will be advised on Thursday 8 April 2021 via email or phone number provided.
If there are no entries Mitchell Shire Council reserves the right to hold the prize for distribution at a later date or as part of a similar competition.
All decisions are final
If a winner cannot be contacted to accept delivery of prize by Thursday 15 April 2021 the winner will be deemed to have surrendered the prize and Council may opt to conduct further judging to award the unclaimed prize.
Prizes
There is one prize available for the winning entry of this competition.
The prize is a collection of children’s books that celebrate culture and diversity to the value of $150. Titles are likely to include*:

*Titles are from local bookstore and are subject to availability and shipping that may be impacted by COVID-19. Prizes are not otherwise transferable or exchangeable. No compensation will be payable if the winner is unable to use the prize in this form.
