Gulpilil, now terminally ill, shares his own story with us for the first time, entirely in his own words. He performs for whoever may be watching him in the future. Describes the emotions that come along with staring at death, how his life erupted and the often difficult navigations he faced mixing his traditional Aboriginal ways with modern Hollywood. It is an authentic, unvarnished showcasing of David Gulpilil, in what will likely be his final role on the big screen.
