Effie Stephanidis (Mary Coustas) is bringing her new show ‘Hello Good Thanks – Better Out Than In’ to Brisbane for this year’s Comedy Festival.
During the apocalypse of 2020, Effie had been all mask and no filter. Now, the masks are off and after much self-reflection, she’s back to toast Brisbane into the new abnormal.
“I won’t lie there were COVID benefits. Like spending some ‘quality’ horizontal time with my new husband Dr Shane Bradley Cooper,” Effie says. “Me? I loved it. But I feel bad for Shane who’s developed quite the limp.”
“The truth is 2020 brought out the good, bad, and the ugly in all of us. But we can no longer marinate in our own mask-filled halitosis. No, it’s time to get out and have a major laugh and a half. It’s the least we can do.”
