The Booktopia Booktoberfest Promotion (“the Promotion”) is provided by Booktopia Pty Ltd ABN 24 096 845 126, Unit E1, 3-29 Birnie Avenue, Lidcombe, NSW 2141 (“the Promoter”). These terms and conditions (including without limitation the information on how to enter and the prize details which we publish in relation to the Promotion) apply to the Promotion. Booktopia also own the trademark Booktoberfest™ and Booktopia may refer to the month of October as Booktoberfest™ from time-to-time.
The terms and conditions below sets out important information about the Booktopia Booktoberfest™ promotion and the details of prize giveaways offered during the Booktoberfest™ Promotion from October 1st, until October 31st, 2021.
By participating in the promotion entrants agree to be bound by the Conditions. Entries must comply with the Conditions to be valid.
1. ENTRY ELIGIBILITY:
(a) All Booktopia Booktoberfest Promotion Prize Giveaways:
Entry is open to new and existing customers of Booktopia who make a purchase from
www.booktopia.com.au during the promotion period. Employees (and immediate family members) of the Promoter and associated agencies/suppliers are ineligible to enter the competition. Participants who are under the age of 18 must seek permission from their parent or guardian.
To enter the various Booktoberfest Promotion prize giveaway draws you must either purchase online at
www.booktopia.com.au any book, a specifically identified individual book or books from a pre-defined selection depending on the individual prize giveaway you wish to enter. (Refer to the individual prize giveaway entry eligibility as outlined in the Prize Giveaway and Eligibility Section 5 below). All valid purchases will be entered into the prize draw of the identified prize giveaways. Multiple entries are permitted.
2. PROMOTIONAL PERIOD:
The promotion commences on 12.01am (AEST) on Friday, 1st of October, 2021 and closes at 23.59pm AEDT October 31st, 2021. (“Promotional Period”)
3. LOCATION OF DRAW:
The main prize giveaway draw will take place at Unit E1, 3-29 Birnie Avenue, Lidcombe, NSW 2141 on Wednesday, 10th November 2021 at 11.00am AEST.
4. NOTIFICATION OF DRAW RESULTS:
The final results of the main prize draw will be published on the Booktopia site here on Thursday, 11th of November, 2021. The prize winner will be notified by phone call, email and/or mail to confirm their address details and how to collect/receive/redeem their prize on Thursday, 11th November 2021.
If winners are unable to be contacted within 2 months from the announcement date, a second chance redraw will take place on Thursday, 6th of January, 2022 at the same place as the first draw. Winners will be notified and published on Friday, 7th January 2022.
5. PRIZE GIVEAWAYS & ENTRY ELIGIBILITY NOTES:
Note: All prize amounts are stated in Australian Dollars.
The total prize value is up to $1,000.
Total number of individual Prize Giveaways is one (1).

Order any title from our Booktoberfest showcase and you could WIN A YEAR'S WORTH OF BOOKS!
Competition begins on October 1st 12:01am and ends 11:59pm midnight October 31st, 2021, AEST.
Entrants must purchase any book featured in our Booktoberfest showcase from Booktopia during the competition period to go in the draw.
The eligible format of each featured title is book (paperback or hardcover). eBook, audiobook, Audio CD, or any other format are not eligible.
Only entrants with Australian and New Zealand delivery addresses will be eligible to enter the competition.
Entrants who only order any of the following product types will become ineligible to enter: eBook, audiobook, Audio CD, DVD, Blu-ray, magazines, and Gift Certificates.
The entry will be deemed invalid if all eligble titles in the order are cancelled or refunded before Thursday, 11th November 2021.
The winner of the competition will be chosen at random.
There are 12 Booktopia gift vouchers available to be won. The winner will receive one (1) of the vouchers per month over a 12 month period. The total value of the vouchers will be $1,000.
Each voucher will expire after 90 days after it has been delivered to the winner. It is the winner's responsibility to redeem the voucher prior to the expiry date. The vouchers can only be redeemed on
www.booktopia.com.au and do not need to be used in one transaction.
The draw will take place on Wednesday, 10th November, 2021.
The winner will be announced on Thursday, 11th of November, 2021.
6. TRANSFERABILITY OF PRIZES:
If the prize or any part of the prize provided by the Promoter cannot, in the opinion of the Promoter, be provided for any reason, the Promoter reserves the right to provide an alternative prize to the same value as that part of the prize being replaced. All prize giveaways are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken in cash.
7. DECISIONS ARE FINAL:
The promoter’s determination regarding the draw is final and binding on all elements. No correspondence will be entered between the promoter and entrants. The promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries or other communications. Entries will be deemed void if illegitimate, forged or manipulated or tampered in any way.
8. MINORS:
If a winner is under 18 years of age, the prize will be awarded to winner’s parent or guardian.
9. PROMOTION PRIVACY:
As a result of you entering the competition, we will collect certain personal information about you, such as your name, email address and phone number. If you are a prize winner, we may share your personal information with a third party, for the purpose of organising delivery of your prize.

12. AUTHORISATIONS:
These conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and us as to its subject matter. By entering the promotion, you accept that this agreement is to be interpreted, and any disputes are to be determined by the courts having jurisdiction in New South Wales, in accordance with the laws in force in New South Wales from time to time.
