The Australian Playwrights’ Festival is an initiative from Currency Press to mark 50 years as a performing arts publisher. The festival is a public event to celebrate the contribution of our playwrights to the national conversation. Bringing together a diverse range of established and emerging writers the festival will offer a mix of panels and one-on-one discussions. Come and meet the writers behind those great plays you have seen and listen to them discuss what inspires, enrages and motivates them to write for the theatre!
