I don’t know about you but Ice Age is one of those films that’s embedded deep in my psyche.
Released in 2002, Ice Age is a heartwarming film about a trio of odd, (mostly extinct) friends who banded together to return a baby back to his father during the Ice Age.
It was a classic pick from teachers on wet weather days, and who could forget the tearful reunion and Sid the sloth’s amazing comedic timing? It was art, an immediate classic, the movie we all deserved.
Now, 20 years on (and four films later) we’re getting a spin off to the franchise we all know and love. The Ice Age: Adventures Of Buck Wild is an original Disney+ film that sees all of your favourite pre-historical mammals return for another shenanigan-filled mission. So far, they’ve faced the meltdown, the dawn of the dinosaurs, the continental drift and the collision course, and now, history’s greatest heroes return to save the Lost World from dino domination.
This spinoff film will see bumbling twin opossum brothers Crash and Eddie depart from the herd and be whisked to the Lost World to meet up with fan-favourite, one-eyed weasel, Buck Wild, voiced by comedian Simon Pegg.
To celebrate the Disney+ release of The Ice Age: Adventures Of Buck Wild on March 25 (plus all Ice Age franchise content being available on Disney+ for those nostalgic nights ahead of you), the team at Disney+ are taking us back to better days (read: 2002) by hosting a money-can’t-buy event at the Sydney Disney+ Drive-In on April 7.

You’ll get to watch the OG film, listen to some cool and curated tunes (praying they play this iconic track), plus you’ll score goodies such as popcorn, snowcones, and a confectionary snack box.
