Escapist television done right can be a wonderful treat – and for three seasons A Discovery of Witches has been a remarkable visual feast taking us into the secret underworld of vampires, witches and daemons.
Acorn Media has released the third and final series to DVD this month, and to celebrate, is offering Canberra Weekly readers the chance to win one of 10 DVDs of the series (valued at $34.95 each).
The last instalment of A Discovery of Witches sees Matthew (Matthew Goode, Downtown Abbey) and Diana (Teresa Palmer, Hacksaw Ridge) return from their trip to 1590 to find tragedy at Sept-Tours. They must find the missing pages from the Book of Life and the Book itself before it’s too late. Their enemies are gearing up against them, and a monster from Matthew’s past who has been lying in wait will return for revenge.
