Hosted over ten days, this flavour-filled festival promises a super-sized serving of local produce, fresh seafood and curated taste experiences against the backdrop of the Sunshine Coast’s sprawling coastlines and rolling hinterland hills.
This year’s program is packed with more than 80 events spread from Caloundra, out west to Maleny and north to Eumundi. That’s a lot of ground to cover, so be sure to come on an empty stomach.
One event, in particular, that might spur the interest and stimulate the hunger of food and nature enthusiasts is The Third Plate: Long Table in the Paddock Culinary Experience – an immersive paddock-to-plate lunch that is set amongst the lush green backdrop of Balmoral Ridge in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. You’ll be feasting on a carefully curated menu, inspired by the very best seasonal, locally sourced produce – all prepared, cooked and served by the chef and staff in the paddock. To match, paired premium wines will also be provided. Between bites, you’ll get the opportunity to learn about what’s on your plate, and meet the farmers, producers, winemakers and chef behind the flavours dancing on your taste buds.
