We are thrilled to announce our first-ever photo competition, which will honour talented photographers in the EIANZ membership, and beyond, in capturing the beauty and fragility of our environment and of the important role of the environment profession in NSW.

The competition seeks original photographs in any of four environmental categories:

    Stunning natural beauty of NSW
Important cultural places/places of significance in NSW
Mitigation/remediation/restoration (e.g. before and after) in NSW
Unsung heroes of the NSW environment profession

Prizes

We are offering prizes for each category winner, as well as a grand prize of $500 for the overall winner. Here’s what you can win:

    Overall winner: $500
Category winners (remaining 3 categories): $200 each
Prizes will be paid as pre-paid VISA gift vouchers

Submission Dates

Submissions will be accepted between Monday 1 May and Friday 30 June 2023. Please note that there is a limit of two entries per person overall for any categories, and each photograph must be in JPEG or PNG format and less than 10MB in size. All photographs must be taken in NSW.

Judging

Our panel of judges consists of environmental experts and professional photographers who will evaluate each entry based on uniqueness, creativity, and adherence to the category theme. The winners will be announced at the Annual General Meeting of the EIANZ NSW Division and on social media channels in August 2023.

The competition is open to everyone, especially EIANZ members. We encourage both photographers of any kind (whether amateur or professional) to submit their entries and share their unique perspectives with us.

Submissions will open on Monday 1 May 2023, and will be announced on the EIANZ website, newsletters and social media channels. We're eager to see the stunning entries! Stay tuned and good luck!
