The baddest arts festival, Brisbane Art Design (BAD), is back with a packed program of workshops, open studios, design talks and art parties, highlighting a lofty line up of local art and design luminaries.
Presented by Museum of Brisbane, the BAD program will activate more than 150 events and exhibitions across three neighbourhoods, over three weekends from Wednesday May 10 to Sunday May 28. One event that should not be missed is the one-night-only collaboration between Brisbane’s beloved Mas & Miek Ceramic Studio and the culinary talents at Southside Restaurant. In the surrounds of the Fish Lane Arts Precinct, you will be introduced to the art of hand building ceramics by mother-daughter duo, Mieke and Charlie from Mas & Miek. Then, indulge in a delicious two-course banquet menu – plated on Mas & Miek handmade pieces – with paired wines from Southside Restaurant. As a special gift, guests will receive a handmade, glazed and fired plate used during their dining experience to take home with them.
To celebrate the return of BAD, The Weekend Edition has partnered with Museum of Brisbane to give one lucky winner two tickets to a special Southside x Mas & Miek dinner on Thursday May 25 at 5:30 pm – total prize valued at $338.
