It’s been three years since Meg and Lucky drove across the desert. Lucky is a successful musician, touring with his band and living with his actor girlfriend. Meg, now 17 with an attitude to match, walks back into his life and all but orders him to help her search for her mum, who left when she was small. Against his instincts, Lucky agrees and they trade the desert for the steamy tropics of North Queensland, with the promise of being back in a week.
