Support South Australia’s river regions after last summer’s floods with these exclusive tourism vouchers.
South Australia’s Riverland and Murray River, Lakes and Coorong regions were some of the hardest hit by last summer’s record-breaking floods. In a time that was supposed to be the region’s busiest period, communities and business owners suffered devastating consequences and are still rebuilding to this day. To help revive these communities and industries, the South Australian Tourism Commission is offering a series of River Revival Vouchers for people wanting to travel to the region and support tourism in the area.
From stargazing at Australia’s only Dark Sky Reserve, heading on a Mighty Murray Way road trip or floating downstream on a houseboat, there are so many ways to enjoy what this picturesque pocket of South Australia has to offer. River Revival Vouchers on offer include:
● $100 experience vouchers
● $100 accommodation vouchers (for a minimum one-night stay)
● $200 accommodation vouchers (for a minimum two-night stay)
● $750 houseboats/guided tour vouchers (for a minimum $1500 spend, inclusive of the voucher)
With a generous travel period from Friday July 28 to Thursday November 30, this second round of the River Revival Voucher program is expected to reinvigorate the region through the cooler months and into spring.
Ballot registration is free, opens on Monday June 19 and closes on Wednesday June 21, with recipients notified on Thursday June 22. And for anyone who misses out, there’s a second-chance draw happening on Thursday July 27.Check out the full terms and conditions and register your interest here.
