Now that winter is in full swing, Brisbane's eateries are making the most of the season's sensational produce. If there's one meal worth throwing on an extra layer for, it's Bacchus Restaurant's winter degustation. This lavish epicurean affair – shaped by chef de cuisine Manuele Erriu – is warming bellies with a procession of hearty dishes, including sashimi with ponzu and golden sesame, risotto with seasonal Urban Valley mushrooms, and black Angus eye fillet with pumpkin and red wine jus. Taking things up a notch, the degustation can also be enhanced with the addition of champagne lobster with chardonnay sauce, duck with cannellini beans, lentils and a drizzle of juniper jus, plus an array of cheese from the trolley.⁠

The Weekend Edition has partnered with Bacchus Restaurant in South Bank to give two lucky diners an opportunity to indulge in the restaurant's winter degustation, which will include the starting degustation, additional dishes and a sommelier's selection of wines. The total prize is valued at $540. ⁠
