Strap in as Brisbane welcomes Australia’s first vertical restaurant, Vertigo. From October, cast your eyes to the sky to see Vertigo perched at the precipice of the iconic Brisbane Powerhouse, offering a dining adventure like no other.
Run in partnership with outdoor tourism operator Riverlife, Vertigo will require diners to clip in and climb out to their seats on a custom-built rig, which hangs 17 m above ground. From this lofty perch, they’ll be able to take in sweeping views of the city skyline while enjoying fare made by the crew at Bar Alto back down on terra firma. What’s more, guests will be given the option to abseil down Brisbane Powerhouse’s exterior to the ground once dinner is done.
