The competition commences at 9.00am Monday 13 November 2023 and ends 5.00pm Friday 8 December 2023. Council reserves the right to extend, change or terminate any competition at any time and for any reason.
The competition is open to all City of Tea Tree Gully residents, excluding Council employees, Elected Members and their immediate families and anyone or any organisation associated with the planning of the competition and their immediate families, unless otherwise stated.
The City of Tea Tree Gully Christmas Light Trail competition is designed to encourage community participation and the spirit of giving and sharing. Entrants agree to enter the competition in the spirit in which it was intended and act accordingly.
By entering this competition, entrants agree to:
keep their lighting display confined to their property. This means entrants must not use the footpath, electricity poles, or any other property outside of their boundary for their display.
have their light display illuminated between 8.00pm and 10.30pm for the duration of the Christmas Light Trail.
permit Council to include their property address on the City of Tea Tree Gully website and in any other related promotional material.
A maximum of one entry per person applies unless otherwise stated.
Only completed entries will be entered into the prize draw.
No responsibility will be taken for lost, late or misdirected entries.
Council reserves the right to void any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of the terms and conditions.
Entry forms need to be completed and submitted via the online form by 5.00pm Friday 8 December 2023.
Entrants to this competition are entitled to win:
Best display: RedBalloon gift card + Westfield Voucher (total prize value $550)
Runner up: Westfield gift card + Helen's Mini Worlds Christmas Terrarium (total prize value $350)
Highly commended: Westfield gift card (total prize value $100)
The competition will be judged by a panel of Council staff who will remain anonymous, using a defined criteria. The time and date of judging will be at the discretion of the judges.
The winners will be notified by 4.30pm Friday 15 December 2023 via email.
If the winners do not claim their prizes within two months of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prizes from the winners and redraw the competition.
Prizes are subject to availability and Council reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of equal or greater value at any time and without notice.
No cash alternative to the prize will be offered.
All prizes are not transferable.
Council will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with a competition or the prizes (except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law).
Council’s decisions on all matters regarding competitions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
By entering the competition you accept all the terms and conditions as stated.
Any other information published or broadcast on how to enter and take part in this competition also forms part of the competition terms and conditions.
Additional expenses which may be incurred due to winning a competition are the sole responsibility of the winner unless specifically stated otherwise.
