(a) Promoter means Kentucky Fried Chicken Pty Ltd (ABN 79 000 587 780) and KFC Adco Limited (ABN 22 083 047 992) of 20 Frenchs Forest Rd, Frenchs Forest NSW 2086.
(b) Promotion means the promotional activity conducted by the Promoter related to the “KFC Big Bucket” promotion.
(c) Promotional Period means the period commencing at 1:00pm AEST on 14/06/2024 and ending at 6:00pm AEST on 28/06/2024.
(d) Terms and Conditions includes these terms and conditions, as well as the information on how to enter and the prize(s).
Information on how to enter and the prize(s) form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this Promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Entry is only open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over.
Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this Promotion are ineligible to enter. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual or party who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process and/or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the Promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's absolute and sole discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. Incomplete or indecipherable entries into the Promotion will be deemed invalid.
Only one (1) entry into the Promotion permitted per person.
If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
The judging will take place at The Bond, 30, Level 5, 30-34 Hickson Rd, Millers Point NSW 2000, commencing on 01/07/2024.
The judges may select additional reserve entries which they determine to be the next best, and record them in order, in case of an invalid entry or ineligible entrant.
The winner will be notified by email and phone call.
This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged based on literary, originality and creative merit of the answer provided to the promotional question.
The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The best valid entry, as determined by the judges, will win a trip to Brisbane, QLD to attend the 2023 Ampol State of Origin Series - Game 3, valued at up to $24,000 depending on point of departure.
Prize consists of:
• Twelve (12) adult tickets to the 2024 Ampol State of Origin Series - Game 3 (valued at $2,000 per ticket) which will take place on 17/07/2024, including seating inside the KFC Big Bucket and a food and beverage (including alcohol) package. The total value of the tickets, food and beverage package is valued at up to $24,000;
• Twelve (12) return economy class tickets to and from winner's nearest capital city within Australia to Brisbane, QLD (only provided if winner resides outside of QLD). If the winner is from QLD, then the prize does not include airfares and the airfare component of the prize is not redeemable for cash; and
• One (1) night of accommodation in a hotel, in Brisbane, QLD, for 12 adults (consisting of 6 twin share rooms).
Spending money, additional meals, taxes, insurance, travel visas/permits/licences/other documentation, vaccinations, transport to and from the 2023 Ampol State of Origin Series - Game 2, transfers, items of a personal nature and all other ancillary costs are not included.
The winner will be required to present their credit card at time of accommodation check in and will be responsible for any additional costs incurred during their stay. Prize is subject to the terms and conditions of individual service providers.
Itinerary to be determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion. Frequent flyer points will not form part of the prize. Travel dates are set for 21/06/23 to 22/06/23 (inclusive). In the event a winner cannot travel on the dates specified by the Promoter, the prize will be forfeited and will no cash alternative will be offered in lieu of the prize. All travel is subject to availability and may be dependent on select seat class with airlines or specific room category availability with an accommodation partner.
The winner and their companions are responsible for ensuring that they have any requisite travel visas/permits/licences/other documentation and/or vaccinations if required at their own cost. Winner and companions must travel together, including travelling on the same flights and staying in the same accommodation.
In the event that an element of the prize is cancelled or postponed for any reason, the winner agrees to forfeit the specified element and no cash alternative offer will be granted in lieu of the part of the prize.
If for any reason the winner does not take the prize (or an element of the prize) at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize (or that element of the prize) will be forfeited and will not be redeemable for cash.
In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency, pandemic, government lockdown or any other kind of unforeseeable event, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion and/or suspend, substitute and/or modify the prize.
Entry and continued participation in this Promotion is subject to the relevant venue’s licensee’s liquor serving policy. The Promoter advocates the responsible service and consumption of alcohol.
If the prize (or part of the prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its absolute and sole discretion, reserves the right to substitute and/or vary the prize (or any part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification.
Prize, including the 2024Ampol State of Origin Series - Game 3 tickets, is subject to the standard terms and conditions of individual prize and service providers, including the event venue and ticket terms and conditions, including any applicable age restriction. The Promoter and event organisers hereby expressly reserve the right to eject the winner (and/or their companions) for any inappropriate behaviour, including but not limited to intoxication, whilst participating in any element of the prize.
Total prize pool value is up to AU$24,000
Prize, or any unused portion of the prize, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash, unless otherwise specified.
Entrants agree that they are fully responsible for any materials they submit via the Promotion including but not limited to comments, recordings and images (“Content”). The Promoter shall not be liable in any way for such Content to the full extent permitted by law. The Promoter may remove or decline to publish any Content without notice for any reason whatsoever. Entrants warrant and agree that:
(a) they will not submit any Content that is unlawful or fraudulent, or that the Promoter may deem in breach of any intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other rights, defamatory, obscene, derogatory, pornographic, sexually inappropriate, violent, abusive, harassing, threatening, objectionable with respect to race, religion, origin or gender, not suitable for children aged under 15, or otherwise unsuitable for publication;
(b) their Content shall not contain viruses or cause injury or harm to any person or entity;
(c) they will obtain prior consent from any person or from the owner(s) of any property that appears in their Content;
(d) the Content is the original literary work of the entrant that does not infringe the rights of any third party;
(e) they consent to any use of the Content which may otherwise infringe the Content creator’s/creators’ moral rights pursuant to the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth) and warrant that they have the full authority to grant these rights; and
(f) they will comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including without limitation, those governing copyright, content, defamation, privacy, publicity and the access or use of others' computer or communication systems.
Without limiting any other terms herein, the entrant agrees to indemnify the Promoter for any breach of the above terms.
As a condition of entering this Promotion, each entrant licenses and grants the Promoter, its affiliates and sub-licensees a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, and sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish and display their entry (which shall include Content) for any purpose, including but not limited to future promotional, marketing or publicity purposes, in any media, without compensation, restriction on use, attribution or liability.
Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Promotion (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
If this Promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Promotion, as appropriate.
Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.

The Promoter collects personal information ("PI") in order to conduct the Promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such PI to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers and prize suppliers. Entry is conditional on providing this PI. The Promoter will also use and handle PI as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at

In addition to any use that may be outlined in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, the Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the PI for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant.
