Win a double pass to Brisbane Powerhouse’s experimental-music festival Open Frame
Brisbane’s local purveyor to all things culture and cool, Brisbane Powerhouse is welcoming back Open Frame this July 18–21. First launched in 2006, Open Frame pushes the boundaries of art and music through an eclectic mix of artists experimenting with sound.
Across four nights, Open Frame will transform Brisbane Powerhouse into the epicentre of sonic experimentation with live performances from the likes of Keiji Haino, Joep Beving and Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon as well as a free show on Friday July 19. With a line-up of artists hailing from across the globe, prepare to be captivated by entirely unique reimaginings of sound expression. Along with its live show program, Open Frame has joined forces with Brisbane Powerhouse’s Dendy open-air cinema to screen two unique perspectives on experimental music Ryuichi Sakamoto – Opus and 1991: The Year Punk Broke.
In celebration of Open Frame 2024, The Weekend Edition has teamed up with our friends at Brisbane Powerhouse to give away a double pass to the three shows as well as Ryuichi Sakamoto’s concert film screening. Two runners up will also receive double passes to the screening of 1991: The Year Punk Broke. The total prize value is $545 – enter below for your chance to win.
