A friend referred to them as the "greatest of all time" but members of this band are far too modest to tout their undisputed presence on Australian radio.
The Fabulous Caprettos comprise of Dave Gleeson (The Screaming Jets/The Angels), Russell Morris, Jack Jones (Southern Sons) and Rai Thistlethwayte (Thirsty Merc/Joe Satriani/Sammy Hagar), who will perform hits from their various bands together this October, plus new songs and surprises.
Russell explained the group's name came from an in-joke.
"Someone jokingly referred to us as the "greatest of all time" or GOAT, but we didn't want to appear egotistical. So, we replaced the acronym with the Italian word for goat - capretto."
Among the songs primed for the setlist are Russell Morris' spirit of the 60s anthems, The Real Thing and Sweet Sweet Love, Southern Sons hits Hold Me in Your Arms, Always and Ever, Heart of Danger, Thirsty Merc pop songs In the Summertime, 20 Good Reasons and Someday, Someday, and Screaming Jets' anthems Better, C'Mon and Shivers.
Joining as a surprise guest exclusively in Western Australia will be Joe Camilleri.
