Eligible entrants
Permanent residents of Australia aged 18 years and over who are not ineligible to enter the Promotion under clause 2 of the Terms and Conditions (Entrants).
To enter, Entrants must complete the following steps during the Promotional Period:
1. Watch the Today Show Monday-Thursday during the Promotional Period and
watch for the weekly codeword;
2. Visit www.todayshow.com.au and follow the prompts to the promotion entry
page;
3. Input the requested details;
4. Provide an answer in 25 words or less to the promotional question, “Why would
you like to win?”; and
5. Submit the fully completed entry form.
 Maximum Entries
Multiple entries are permitted per Entrant during the Promotional Period subject to the following:
a) Only one (1) entry per Entrant is permitted for each round of judging (i.e. one entry per weekly codeword);
b) each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with entry requirements; and
c) a limit of one (1) prize per person applies.
Winner Determination
Game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the Winners.
There will be one (1) round of judging for each week of the Promotion (47 rounds in total). Subject to the open and close times of the Promotional Period, entries open and close at the following dates and times:
● For the first round of judging, entries open on the 27/01/25 at 5:30am AEDT
and close at 10:00am AEDT on 30/01/25; and
● For subsequent rounds of judging:
o entries open each Thursday at 10:01am AEDT/AEST (as applicable) from 30/01/25 to 11/12/25 inclusive; and
o entries close each Thursday at 10:00am AEDT/AEST (as applicable) 06/02/25 to 18/12/25 inclusive.
Judging will take place by the Promoter at 1 Denison Street, North Sydney, NSW 2060 at 10:05am AEDT/AEST (as applicable) on each Thursday of the Promotional Period (27/01/25 to 18/12/25 inclusive). On each Judging Date, the judges will select the Entrant who has most creatively answered the promotional question. The Promoter reserves the right to select additional reserve entries that it determines to be the next best, and record them in order of merit, in case of an invalid entry or ineligible Entrant.
On each Friday immediately following the relevant round of judging (27/01/25 to 19/12/25 inclusive), the Promoter will telephone the Entrant selected live on air between 7am and 9:30am AEDT/AEST (as applicable). That Entrant must then answer the phone within five (5) rings and after picking up, must provide the weekly codeword for that round of judging within thirty (30) seconds of answering the call.
If the Entrant does not answer the phone within five (5) rings or does not provide the correct weekly codeword within thirty (30) seconds of answering the call:
a) the Major weekly prize will not be given away and the prize available to the Entrant called on the next Friday will jackpot, as detailed further in the Prize section below; and
b) the Entrant will receive the Consolation Prize, as detailed further in the Prizecsection below.
On the final Friday of calling, the Promoter will continue to call Entrants until an Entrant successfully answers the phone within five (5) rings and provides the correct weekly codeword.
Number of Winners
47 (1 per week)
Winner Notification
Each winner will be notified by phone and/or email.
Prize/s
If the Entrant answers the phone within five (5) rings and provides the correct weekly codeword within thirty (30) seconds of answering the call, the Entrant will win a $1,000 Shell Gift Card (Major Prize).
For all calling dates, excluding the final Friday of calling, if the Entrant does not complete the above steps:
a) the Entrant will receive a $200 Shell Gift Card (Consolation Prize); and
b) the Major Prize will jackpot, so the prize available to the Entrant called on the next Friday will be $2,000 worth of Shell Gift Cards, and so on, up to a maximum jackpot of $47,000 worth of Shell Gift Cards.
On the final Friday of calling, a prize will only be awarded to the final Entrant to complete the required steps, who will receive the Major Prize. Entrants who do not complete the required steps will not receive any prize (i.e. they will not receive the Consolation Prize).

1. Shell Gift Cards are redeemable at Shell Reddy Express, Shell Coles Express and selected Shell sites only.
2. Shell Gift Cards cannot be redeemed / exchanged for cash or payment of credit or store accounts. Lost or stolen cards will not be replaced or refunded.
3. Shell Gift cards cannot be used to purchase gift cards.
4. Cards expire four (4) years from the date of issue.
