Information on how to enter and prizes forms part of these conditions of entry. Entry into the competition constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Entry is open to:
Australian residents 18 years or over who, in the event they are a Prize winner, are able to travel to and remain in Japan in order to participate in the Prize, as set out in Condition 6 but EXCEPT for:
Employees of ABB or IPD
Employees of a current or potential business partner of either ABB or IPD
Immediate families or relatives of ABB employees or IPD employees
Associated companies, agencies of ABB employees, IPD employees or their relatives
Electrical wholesalers, authorised electrical resellers and their employees
Public Officials – employees of any government department; or employee of any company owned, controlled or jointly owned/controlled by state owned entity; candidate/official of political party; or any individual categorised as public official under applicable laws; or any individual acting in an official capacity or on behalf of any of above categories
Employee of any customer which is in active negotiations with either ABB or IPD for potential contract during the course of this promotion. Any person restricted by rules of their employment or otherwise.
In case entry is found to be falling in above categories, same will be rejected without need to provide notice or evidence thereof.
The promotion commences 1st October, 2024 at 0900 and closes 28th February, 2025 at 24:00 (AEDST). (“Promotional Period”).
To enter the Promotion, the entrant must complete the following steps during the Promotional Period: a) spend at least $1000.00 (including G.S.T) on any IPD Distribution Boards and/all any ABB product (excluding Motors and Variable Speed Drives) in one transaction within Australia from IPD and/or electrical wholesaler or authorised electrical reseller and b) visit
www.ipd.com.au/e-formula and fully complete and submit the online entry form with their personal details including full name, company name, phone number, email address and state/territory of residence. The entrant must retain proof of purchase. The proof of purchase is an original or a copied receipt for the qualifying transaction. For every $1,000.00 spend you will receive one (1) entry. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process or the operation of the competition or who breaches any of these terms and conditions.
There are a total of 4 prizes to be won. Each prize includes 1 x return economy flight from the winner capital city to Tokyo, return transfers to and from Tokyo airport to Hotel, 3 nights accommodation in Tokyo 4 star Hotel, entry ticket and transfers to the Japan Formula E Grand Prix 2025 for the 17th & 18th May, 2025. Each prize is valued up to $10,000.00. Total prize pool $40,000.00. Any other costs including but not limited to spending money, meals, travel taxes, travel insurance, passports, visas and all other ancillary costs, as well as obtaining any of these, are the responsibility of the winners.
The Promoter and ABB shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the prize except for any liability, which cannot be excluded by law.
The prize draw will take place at IPD Group, 43 Newton Road, Wetherill Park, NSW, 2164 at 10:00am on the 6th March, 2025.
Winners will be notified by phone and in writing within 5 days of the draw and will have their surnames, first initial and postcode published on the Promoters website at
www.ipd.com.au by 13th March, 2025. The Winners agree to the use of their names in any publicity material, as well as their entry.
If required an unclaimed prize draw will take place at IPD Group, 43 Newton Road, Wetherill Park, NSW, 2164 at 10:00am on the 7th April, 2025 and the winner will be notified in writing and have their surname, first initial and postcode published on the Promoters website at
www.ipd.com.au from the 9th April, 2025.
The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Eligible entrants and winners consent to the use and disclosure of their information solely for the purposes of this competition by The Promoter and its agents associated with this competition.
If for any reason any aspect of this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion and invalidate any affected entries, or suspend or modify a prize, subject to State or Territory regulation. If for any reason the Prize winner does not take the Prize (or an element of the Prize) at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the Prize (or that element of the Prize) will be forfeited and will not be redeemable for cash.
