(1) Visit our Unexpect-o-matic machine at Southern Cross Station on Saturday 17 May to scan the QR code, complete the online quiz and enter in the draw. You'll find our Ballarat itinerary-building machine at the Collins Street end of the station near the historic Water Tower Clock from 12 noon to 8pm.

Eligible Entrants:
Entry is free. All Victorian residents aged 18+ years or older at the time of entry, are eligible to enter.
Employees of the Promoter, contractors, agents of supplier(s) and any sponsors of the Promotion and their immediate families are ineligible to enter. Immediate families means spouse, de facto spouse, parent, child or sibling (whether natural or by adoption) and grandparents.
Entry Procedure:
To enter this Promotion, Eligible Entrants must, during the Promotional Period:
– register their details* at the website,

– read and accept these terms and conditions and the Promoter’s privacy policy (together an Entry).
*Details required include: full name, mobile number, email address, and suburb and postcode.
It is an Entrant’s responsibility to notify the Promoter if their personal details change during the Promotional Period. If a Winner fails to provide valid or complete contact details for delivery of the Prize, or delivery has not been successful to the email address provided (after reasonable attempts by the Promoter) the Prize shall be forfeited by the Winner.
Entries not completed in accordance with these Terms and Conditions will be rejected and any late, incomplete, indecipherable, or illegible Entries will be deemed invalid. Entries will be deemed accepted at the time of receipt by the Promoter and not at the time of transmission.
Maximum Entries: Eligible Entrants may enter once only.
Number of Winner(s): There will be one (1) winner for the Promotion.
Selection of Winner(s): This Promotion is a game of chance and the winner will be randomly drawn by the Promoter using a random selection generator from all eligible Entries (the Draw) at the Draw will be conducted at 12 NOON AEST, on Friday 27 June 2025, at the Promoter’s address. The first valid Entry drawn from all the Entries will be considered the Winner.
Notification of Winner(s): The winner(s) will be notified by email on Friday 27 June 2025. Winners may also be contacted by telephone to notify them of their win, Friday 27 June 2025.
Prize Claim Date: The winner(s) must claim their Prize from the Promoter within 28 days of the Draw.
Publishing of Winners: Winners details (name and suburb) will be published at the Promoters website for a period of 28 days after the Draw.
Prize: The prize is a package that consists of the following:
a) 2-night stay in a 2-bedroom apartment at Quest Ballarat (7-11 Dawson Street, Ballarat Central 3350). Apartment rooms sleep 2 adults + 2 children [or] 2 adults + 2 adults, subject to availability of bed configurations at the time winner is drawn. Check in 18 July 2025, check out 20 July 2025. Valued at $1,200.00.
b) Family pass (2 adults + 2 children) to Winter Wonderlights at Sovereign Hill, valued at $177.50. Pass entitles winner to entry on one date only from 18-20 July 2025.
c) $150 gift voucher for Hop Temple (24 Armstrong Street, Ballarat Central 3350). To be issued as an online gift card (eGift Card) to the Winner’s email address. Hop Temple Gift Cards are valid for 3 years, are non-refundable, non-transferable and must be used in full. May only be used for purchases at Hop Temple and cannot be returned, exchanged, resold or battered for cash Hop Temple Gift Cards are treated as cash and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. (Gift card issuer T&Cs apply).
d) Western Bulldogs merchandise pack including guernsey, wool scarf, beanie and water bottle (valued at $280.00)
To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter and prize providers are not liable for any additional or incidental costs associated with this Promotion and the receipt of the Prize, including, without limitation, travel to and from Ballarat.
For the purposes of these terms and conditions, and the prize providers’ terms and conditions, a child is anyone aged 15 years or under.
Total Prize Pool:
Prize is valued at a minimum total of $1807.50
Prizes (and any part of the prize) are not transferrable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. A prize may only be substituted if the substituted prize is of the same or greater value than the original prize and the winner either agrees in writing, or the original prize is unavailable due to circumstances beyond the control of the Promoter and reasonable attempts are made to reach agreement with the winner that are unsuccessful.
Package Travel Dates:
Package dates are non-negotiable and will be offered as nominated by the Promoter.
Nights of apartment stay at Quest Ballarat must be consecutive.
Dates are booked by the Promoter and are not able to be changed. Winner will be advised of package component date restrictions when notified to claim their prize.
All prize inclusions are subject to availability at time of booking. Change of date will be at the discretion of the Promoter and prize providers/package operators, and will be subject to availability at the time of rebooking.
Unclaimed Prize Arrangements:
If there are any un-won Prizes or if a winner cannot be contacted (i.e. attempts to contact the winner have met with failure) or does not claim the Prize within the timeframe stipulated in these Conditions of Entry, the winner will no longer be entitled to a Prize and the Promoter may undertake a re-draw at on the next business day after the Prize Claim Date has ended. In such case, the first valid Entry drawn from the remainder of the Entries in the re-draw will be entitled to the Prize (Replacement Winner). The Replacement Winner is then the winner of the Prize for the purposes of these Conditions of Entry and will be notified by way of the notification method set out above.
Consents and warranties on entry:
Entrants agree to their Entry (which includes Personal Information as defined in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)) being used by the Promoter and Footscay Football Club Limited (ABN 68 005 226 595) trading as “Western Bulldogs” (a prize provider in this Promotion), in the future and grant them a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable and sub-licensable transferable licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish and display the Entry for any purpose in any media without compensation, restriction on use, attribution or liability, subject to any legislative obligations. Entrants warrant that they have full authority to grant these rights and will not assert any moral rights in respect of the Entry.
Entrants warrant and agree that:
• They will not submit, produce, upload or share any content that is fraudulent, or may be in breach of any intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
• No rights in the Entry have been previously granted to any person, corporation or entity;
• They will obtain full prior consent from any person who has jointly created or has any rights in the Entry or who appears (or who’s property appears) in the content forming part of the Entry;
• Without limiting the above, the Entrant indemnifies the Promoter against all loss, damages and costs incurred by the Promoter as a result of any breach of the above warranties.
• Winners must abide by rules of entry at each specific location.
Winner/s must take part in all publicity, photography and other promotional activity as the Promoter requires, without any compensation. Winner/s consent to the Promoter using their names and images in any promotional or advertising activity.
Privacy and marketing:
Entry into this Promotion is conditional upon entrants providing their personal information as set out in the Entry Procedure.
Personal Information provided by Entrants will be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting this Promotion and otherwise in accordance with Entrants’ consent. The Promoter may disclose entrant’s personal information to its contractors and agents in relation to the conduct of this Promotion. The Promoter’s privacy policy is available online.
By entering this Promotion, entrants acknowledge and agree that their personal information may be shared with the prize providers for the purpose of prize fulfilment.
Entrants understand, acknowledge and agree that:
• Their Entry (or parts thereof) may be posted on the Website and Promoter websites and is available for public viewing (this includes publication of the name and suburb of the Winner on the Visit Ballarat Competitions webpage for six months following the Draw); and
• Their personal details will be added to the Footscray Football Club Limited (ABN 68 005 226 595) trading as “Western Bulldogs” and City of Ballarat email databases for the purpose of contact for future promotions and marketing information. Western Bulldogs use of personal information is subject to its own privacy policy, which entrants should review here:

Limitation of Liability:
To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter and prize providers (and their respective officers, contractors, employees, agents and representatives) will not be liable for any personal injury, loss (including loss of opportunity), damage (including, but not limited to, direct, indirect or consequential loss), cost, expense or claim arising from or in relation to the Competition.
The Promoter’s decisions in connection with the Promotion are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Nothing in these terms and conditions restricts, excludes or modifies any consumer rights under any statute including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
Variation to Competition:
The Promoter may in their absolute discretion, but subject to State and Territory laws, modify, suspend, cancel, recommence or extend this Competition as appropriate if:
• for any reason, this Competition is not capable of running as planned due to technical, hardware or software failures or interferences, or changes to third party sites or platforms, which affect the administration, operation, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition;
• the level of interest or participation in the Competition is insufficient or there has been some delay in commencing the Competition; or
• the Entry Procedure, determination of Winners or delivery of Prizes is prevented hindered or affected by any external agent or event beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter.
The Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with any social media platform provider (including, but not limited to, the providers of Facebook and Instagram or any of their related entities (Provider). Each entrant agrees to release any Provider from all liability in connection with, or in relation to, the Promotion. These Conditions of Entry do not intend to conflict with, or derogate from, a Provider’s terms and conditions of use, statement of rights and responsibilities (if any), data use policy or any other terms and conditions imposed by the relevant Provider on entrants from time to time to use the relevant social media platform.
