As the 2025 season draws to a close, we are preparing to name the 2025 Limelight Artists of the Year.
Nominations from subscribers and critics have shaped a field of Australian and international finalists, highlighting the work that resonated most strongly in the nation’s concert halls and on its stages.
2025 Limelight Artists of the Year
Our finalists comprise 20 Australian and 20 international artists and ensembles from across the classical music spectrum. Each earned a place through performances that left a clear impression on audiences and reviewers alike.
Now it’s your turn. Take part by voting for the 2025 Limelight Artists of the Year and help decide which artists stood out most. You can select up to five artists from each group.

Voting closes on Sunday 4 January, 2026. The winners will be announced in Limelight‘s Weekly Newsletter on Saturday 31 January, with interviews to follow in our March issue.
Everyone who takes part goes into the draw to win one of four Gold Culture Vouchers from Giving Culture, valued at $250 each and redeemable across the Australian Chamber Orchestra, Australian Theatre for Young People, Australian World Orchestra, Incognito Art Show and Sydney Film Festival.
We’re also once again inviting you to tell us about the single performance that stayed with you this year. The most frequently mentioned event will receive the Giving Culture Award, recognising another standout moment among the 2025 Limelight Artists of the Year.
