Halle Bailey (The Little Mermaid, The Color Purple) is Anna, a twenty-something who’s put her dream of becoming a chef on hold and is drifting through life making questionable choices. But after losing her house-sitting job, and her place to stay, she impulsively flies to Tuscany to crash at the empty villa of a handsome Italian she just met, Matteo, despite her best friend Claire’s warnings.
Her plan to secretly stay for one night quickly unravels when Matteo’s mother, Gabriella (Isabella Ferrari), unexpectedly arrives. In a panic, Anna lets Gabriella believe she’s Matteo’s fiancée. But the lie grows complicated when Matteo’s cousin Michael (Regé-Jean Page) shows up and the spark between him and Anna threatens to change everything.
