My small business of the week is an absolutely awesome Italian restaurant called Paladino’s Cucina!! It is the passion project of husband-and-wife duo Joe and Danii Paladino, inspired by their rich Italian heritage from the southern region of Calabria.

Their menu celebrates rustic, authentic flavours rooted in traditional “cucina povera” — simple, honest dishes that speak for themselves. Every plate tells a story, whether it’s a memory, a moment, or a person, all brought to life through food.

Adding a personal touch, weekly chef’s specials are inspired by their travels across Italy, where summers were spent cooking, eating, and sharing stories with family.
