BLACK BOOKS THE DEFINITIVE COLLECTION GIVEAWAY

Shock DVD / Region 4 / Released August 11, 2010

One of the funniest and most well-regarded sitcoms of the last few years gets a sumptuous DVD Box Set treatment this month with a limited edition book-style cases and wine accoutrements and to celebrate the arrival on DVD of Black Books The Definitive Collection we have five copies to give away!

The truly fabulous Dylan Moran plays Bernard Black, the Dylan Thomas-esque, mostly drunken owner of the Black Books Book shop. With a resolute hatred of customers Bernard is not ideally suited to the world of selling things but luckily his chief employee Manny (a star making turn from Bill Bailey) is a natural, Fran Katzenjammer (Tamsin Greig) is the frequent visitor from the shop next door (a gift shop called Nifty Gifty)

Black by name and Black by nature, the dour Bernard is one of the great TV comedy characters and the series itself is superb, more than just a funny sitcom it's a respite from the vagaries and absurdities of the modern world we live in.

Our competition runs until September 5, 2010. To be in with a chance to win one of the dvds all you have to do is tell us who created the series? Also don't forget about our rather splendid daily newsletter. If you haven't signed up for this yet then what are you waiting for, a daily hit of all the latest stories, comps, reviews, features and news happening in the world of Memorable TV.

Entries must be sent to competition@memorabletv.com and must be titled "Black Books The Definitive Collection". Good Luck!

Go for it, give it a tweet!
