CRIBB - THE COMPLETE SERIES DVD GIVEAWAY

Time Life DVD / Region 4 / Released August 11, 2010

Classic Victorian detective action arrives on DVD this month in the shape of the complete series of very excellent 1970's series Cribb. To celebrate the good folk at Time Life DVD have given us five box sets for you to win!

Starring Alan Dobie as Detective Sergeant Cribb and William Simons as Detective Constable Thackery the series sees the duo working for the newly formed Criminal Investigation Department aka the CID at a time when criminals like Jack The Ripper were stalking the streets of London and police had to get back with limited resources and without the technology that modern day cops take for granted.

Over the course of 13 episodes Cribb and Thackery tackle some complex cases (often involving real life events too for added background depth). Watch out too for well known faces including the likes of Andrew Burt, Linda Robson and Michael Elphick. An excellent series definitely worth checking out.

Our competition runs until September 5, 2010. To be in with a chance to win one of the dvds all you have to do is tell us who wrote the books on which Cribb the series is based? Also don't forget about our rather splendid daily newsletter. If you haven't signed up for this yet then what are you waiting for, a daily hit of all the latest stories, comps, reviews, features and news happening in the world of Memorable TV.

Entries must be sent to competition@memorabletv.com and must be titled "Cribb". Good Luck!

Adapted from Peter Lovesey's 1978 novel and set in Victorian London around the time of the Jack the Ripper murders in 1888, Alan Dobie starred as the tough Detective Sergeant who worked for the newly formed Criminal Investigation Department (CID), determined to remove crime from the streets of London using the latest detection methods.
