Brisbane City Council, in partnership with the Queensland Writers Centre, is offering an invaluable opportunity for 20 new and emerging writers.
20 winners will receive:
a place at a three day Masterclass
the opportunity to develop their story with established industry mentors
a publishing opportunity in the One Book Many Brisbanes 6 Anthology
a cash prize of $1000

How to enter the One Book Many Brisbanes: Masterclass competition
Entries opened on 3 September 2010 and closes at 5pm on Friday, 7 January 2011.

Brochures are also available from any Brisbane City Council library, or to have a copy posted to you, email the One Book Many Brisbanes team.
Applications must include:
an applicant profile of no more than 300 words which demonstrates your commitment, passion for writing and writing experience
a story of no more than 2500 words which will be clearly set in 'Brisbane' or have a theme of 'Brisbane'
Published and unpublished authors are invited to enter.
Masterclass
Develop your story with the support of industry mentors during the Queensland Writers Centre three day Masterclass.
The Masterclass will be held at Brisbane Square library on 11, 12 and 13 February 2011. Successful applicants must be available to attend all three days of the Masterclass and will have the opportunity to develop their story with the support of industry mentors for inclusion in the anthology.
Successful applicants will be required to submit their completed short story within one week of the completion of the Masterclass.
Assessment panel
An independent panel will be assessing the applications in January 2011.
