Melbourne’s first French Festival, Paris to Provence, has finally arrived….. Friday October 1 and Saturday October 2 from 10am to 4pm.
Melbourne’s COMO House and Gardens will be unrecognizable when a bustling French pop-up village transforms the iconic venue into a lively French festival this October.
Visitors are invited to experience all things French-inspired with 100 handpicked stalls, live entertainment and exciting shows. Linked together by a love of all things Francais, the array of stalls and performers at Paris to Provence will delight and entertain all visitors, young and old.
Featuring French gastronomical delights, including everything from indulgent French chocolate to rich French wines; beautiful French-inspired gifts and homewares; gorgeous children’s French fashion; book, magazines and French language and travel information.
Entertainment will include performances by the Melbourne French Theatre, along with the La La La French Choir, mime artists, roaming French entertainers and live music acts throughout the venue.
Friday 1 October will be a day for mini French enthusiasts, celebrating the last day of Victoria’s term 3 school holidays. Children will love the animal farm, roaming French characters such as Marie Antoinette, face painting and French story time. Parents will adore the beautiful children’s French fashion parades. Stalls of French food, wine and general French gifts, homewares and services will also be showcasing their product.
Food and wine lovers will feel as though they have died and gone to a red, white and blue heaven on Saturday 2 October. With an emphasis on gastronomy, visitors will be treated to endless stalls offering delicious French food and wine tasting.
