IF your little nipper has a way of working a camera, then chances are they could win you a share in $21,800 of prizes in the Wentworth Courier 2010 Baby Academy Awards.Our awards last year attracted more than 15,000 entries and judges are again expecting to be swamped as proud mums, dads and grandparents from across Sydney and the Central Coast enter photographs of their precious baby or toddler.
And it’s not a beauty contest.
The Courier is looking for our Biggest Smile, Most Peaceful, Cheekiest and Messiest babies.
We want to see pictures that capture little faces with fabulous stories to tell.During the next five weeks, submit your snaps and we’ll showcase a selection each week in the paper.
Winners of each of the Courier’s four categories will receive a complimentary PixiFoto sitting and two 10’‘x13’’ colour portraits (valued at $235).
Each of the category winners will then go on to the grand final.
They’ll be one of 20 category winners from across Sydney and the Central Coast.
Grand Final winners - Sydney’s Biggest Smile, Most Peaceful, Cheekiest and Messiest - will receive a complimentary PixiFoto sitting, a 10’‘x13’’ colour portrait and a five-sheet portrait collection (total value of $500), plus a $250 cash prize.

To be eligible, all babies entered must be born after September 1, 2007.
The permission of the baby’s parent or guardian should be obtained before a photograph is submitted.

Also tell us your baby’s name and a bit about the photograph.
If you wish to enter more than one photograph, please enter each photograph in the appropriate category.

Photographs submitted in the wrong category will not be considered by the judges, so please be sure you hit the right link and enter the correct category for the photograph.
Submitted files should be in JPEG format and no larger than 1Mb.

Terms & ConditionsInformation on how to enter form part of these conditions. Entry into the competition constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Entry is only open to NSW residents. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, and its agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter the promotion.
1 The competition opens Monday 20 September 2010 9am EST
and closes Friday 22 October 2010 5pm EST. Entries will be judged Friday 29 October 2010 and the winners will be notified by telephone by close of business that same day.
2 This is a game of skill, to enter the competition readers must send in a photo of a child born after 1 September 2007 to Baby Academy Awards - PO Box 662, Parramatta CBD DC, NSW 2124, or visit their local newspaper website (directory at
www.whereilive.com.au ) and upload their photo onto the competition gallery. Entries must include Childs Name, entrant’s name, day time phone number, email address, address and the category which the photo will enter into
3 Photos can be entered into the following categories:
a. Biggest Smile
b. Most peaceful
c. Cheekiest baby
d. Messiest baby
4 All photos entered must have the permission of the child’s parent/guardian to enter.

There will be a total of 84 prizes.
6 Each category winner for each newspaper will receive a complimentary photographic session and two 10”X13” colour portraits - valued at $235 (80 winners in total)
7 Each overall category winner will receive a complimentary sitting, 10”X13” colour portrait and a 5 sheet portrait collection plus $250 cash - valued at $750 (4x winners in total)8 The draw will be held at 142 – 154 Macquarie Street Parramatta, NSW 2150
9 The promoter will destroy your personal information once the competition is completed.
10 Prize is redeemable for one year from draw date
11 A second chance draw will be held three months after the initial draw date if there are still any unclaimed prizes.

The total prize pool for the promotion is $21,80014 Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash.
15 Any additional expenses incurred by accepting this prize is at the expense and responsibility of the winner.
16 Cumberland Courier Newspapers takes no responsibility for lost or misdirected mail.
17 The promoter takes no responsibility in the variation of prize value.
18 If the prize is not collected, the winner forfeits the prize.
19 Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable, non-replaceable and non-redeemable for cash.
20 The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever that is suffered by any entrant or winner (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), or for any personal injury suffered or sustained as a result of taking any prize, (including in relation to the ongoing maintenance or support of the prize) except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law. If required by the Promoter, the winners and their guests (if any), must sign and return any liability release and indemnity provided by the Promoter and/or its contractors as a condition of a prize being awarded. Failure to return the signed releases and indemnities will result in the entitlement to the prize being forfeited and the selection of another winner.
21 To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible or liable for:
a. inaccurate / incorrect transcription of entry information;
b. purported entries that are not received for any reason, including because they are lost, misdirected or stolen, or that are received, but are late, illegible, incomplete, sent with insufficient postage (where entry is by post), or sent other than as directed in the entry instructions;
c. any problems or technical failures of any kind, including malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems or network, servers or providers, computer equipment, or software;
d. the unavailability or inaccessibility of any service whether or not caused by traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website;
e. unauthorised human intervention in any part of the competition;
f. electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the competition;
g. any loss suffered or sustained, to person or property and including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, or its servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to a prize winner and, where applicable, to any family/persons accompanying a winner; or
h. any injury or damage to persons or property, including to the participant’s or any other person’s computer related to, or resulting from, participation or downloading any materials in this competition.
22 If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, entries.
