HOW TO ENTER

•To be automatically entered into the draw, individuals must perform any of the following tasks, during the promotional period:
◦Register for the new GE Money Online Services Centre for an account listed in the table below;
◦Opt out of receiving paper statements from GE Money and sign up to receive online statements for an account listed in the table below;
◦Opt in to receive email reminders from GE Money for an account listed in the table below through the GE Money Online Services Centre;
◦Update their contact details through the GE Money Online Services Centre for an account listed in the table below; or
◦Make a BPAY payment from an account listed in the table below (not available to all entrants, as indicated below).
                  (“Qualifying Tasks”)

Each Qualifying Task mentioned above is allocated a certain number of entries. Upon completion of a Qualifying Task entrants will receive the number of entries corresponding with the task that is performed, as per the table below. 

•Individuals can perform the Qualifying Tasks mentioned above by visiting (and following the prompts to complete the Qualifying Tasks) on the following websites that correspond with their card (as indicated below)  during the promotional period;

Upon completion of each qualifying task during the promotional period individuals will receive the number of entries corresponding to that task. *In addition, all existing customers who have already performed tasks 1 to 3 before this promotion begins will also automatically receive the relevant number of entries for the particular qualifying task performed. ‘Registration’ under task number 1, includes re-registration for customers who are registered for the old GE Money Online Service Centre.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

•Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
•Entry is only open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over who are a single primary cardholder of a GE Money credit card. A cardholder will not be eligible if their account is closed or is more than 30 days overdue at the end of the promotion. A cardholder will not be able to enter if they are unable to access the GE Money Online Service Centre for any reason.  A cardholder who holds a card jointly with another person will not be eligible to enter.  If an additional cardholder (i.e. a person who can use a single primary cardholder’s card but is not a joint card holder) performs a Qualifying Task the primary cardholder will receive the applicable entries.
•Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion, or their related entities, are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
•The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
•Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
•Only the allocated number of entries (as outlined in the table above) will be awarded for each Qualifying Task per account, regardless of the number of times the Qualifying Task is repeated for that account, with the exception of the BPAY task whereby entrants will receive one entry per each BPAY transaction during the promotional period.
•If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
•Promotion commences 01/08/2010. Entries close 11.59pm AEST on 31/10/2010. The draw will take place at Anisimoff Legal: Level 4, 448 St Kilda Road, Melbourne VIC 3004 on 09/11/2010 at 10am.
•Winners will be notified by email and the winners name will be published in The Australian on 22/11/2010.
•The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
•The first thirty (30) valid entries drawn will each win $1,000. The $1,000 will be credited to the winner’s GE Money account by 01/12/2010.
•Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if for any reason a winner does not take the prize or an element of the prize by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize or that element of the prize will be forfeited.
•Total prize pool value is $30,000.
•Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
•A draw for any unclaimed prizes may take place on 09/02/2011 at the same time and place as the original draw, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. Winners’ names, in any unclaimed prize draw, will be published in The Australian on 08/03/2011.
•Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant's name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
•If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
•Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
•The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.
•Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) taking of the prize.
•As a condition of accepting the prize, the winner must sign legal documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter and/or prize suppliers in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form.
•The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
