I actually contacted Nicabate about this problem and received a phone call from them on Friday.
The lady stated that she and her colleagues had logged into the competition and could find NO PROBLEMS.
She told me that it must be my server that was the problem.
I asked her if she could verify whether my entry had actually been received and she told me she could not.

I thought I was the only person experiencing this problem. Glad I'm not alone.
It does make me angry though. There is no way of telling whether the entry has gone through or not.
