Fair Game is based on the autobiography of CIA officer Valerie Plame. Played by Naomi Watts, Plame has her top-secret identity leaked to high-profile Washington journalists after her ambassador husband (Sean Penn) writes a New York Times piece alleging the Bush administration misused intelligence to “exaggerate the Iraqi threat”, igniting a firestorm of controversy. With her cover blown, Valerie is pushed to the breaking point as her career and private life collapse.
