1. Information on how to enter the promotion and the prizes forms part of these terms and conditions of entry. Entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.

3. The promotion commences at 5:00am (AEDST) on 10 November 2010 and ends 5:00pm (AEDST) on 25 December 2010 ('Promotion Period').
4. Entry is open to individuals aged 18 years or over travelling overseas ('Eligible Entrants') excluding directors, management, employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and their related bodies corporate. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
Entry into Major Prize Draw
5. To be eligible to enter, Eligible Entrants must either:

8. 9. Eligible Entrants must scratch the promotional game card to reveal whether they have won a AU$5 Duty Free Store Discount Voucher or a AU$10 Duty Free Store Discount Voucher.
10. Eligible Entrants must spend a minimum of AU$25 in one transaction to redeem the AU$5 Duty Free Store Discount Voucher and a minimum of AU$50 in one transaction to redeem the AU$10 Duty Free Store Discount Voucher.
11. The Duty Free Store Gift Voucher can be redeemed at any of the following stores: SYD Airport Tax & Duty Free, Live to Play, The Wiggles Store, MAC or Fashion Gallery at Sydney International Airport. The promotional game card must be handed into a staff member at a participating Duty Free Store on the same day their original qualifying purchase was made in order to claim the discount on their promotional game card. Discount vouchers must be redeemed on the day the promotional game card is issued and can only be used towards a second purchase. The discount voucher cannot be applied to the original qualifying purchase.
12. Limit of one (1) discount voucher can be used per person per transaction. Discount vouchers are not to be used in conjunction with any other discount or offer and cannot be redeemed for cash. Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the discount vouchers are not included. Redemption of the voucher is subject to any terms and conditions of the issuer including those specified on the voucher. Discount vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with the purchase of any digital, electrical or technology products (i.e. digital camera products, digital video camera products, photographic products, or minor electrical products) or any tobacco products.
13. Any promotional game card that is damaged in any manner, manipulated, duplicated, fraudulent, forged, destroyed, altered, copied, hand printed will be considered null and void and will not be eligible for discount redemption.
14. Printing and other quality control errors will not invalidate an otherwise valid discount voucher claim.
15. Unless otherwise due to fraud or ineligibility under these Terms and Conditions, all discount voucher claims in excess of the advertised prize pool will be honoured. Any discount vouchers that are part of the advertised total prize pool will be awarded in the unclaimed prize draw.
16. There will be a total of 85,000 promotional game cards printed for this promotion.
17. There are 50,000 x AU$5 off next purchase discount vouchers and 35,000 x AU$10 off next purchase discount vouchers to be won during the Promotional Period.
General
18. Multiple entries permitted, subject to the following: (a) only one entry permitted per qualifying transaction; and (b) each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with entry requirements. Eligible Entrants will receive one (1) promotional game card per eligible purchase.
19. Eligible Entrants must retain a copy of their purchase receipt(s) from purchase made in-store or online, for all entries as proof of purchase. Failure to produce the proof of purchase for all entries when requested may, in the absolute discretion of the Promoter, result in invalidation of ALL of an Eligible Entrant’s entries and forfeiture of any right to a prize. Purchase receipt(s) must clearly specify the physical or online store of purchase and that the purchase was made during the promotional period but prior to entry.
20. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and Eligible Entrants and reserves the right to disqualify any Eligible Entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or for tampering with the entry process. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter reserves the right to request that the major prize winner provide proof of identity, proof of purchase and proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address in order to claim their prize.
21. Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.
22. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an Eligible Entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the Eligible Entrant.
23. The draw will take place at 11am (AEDST) on 21 January 2011 at The Nuance Group, 190 Bourke Road, Alexandria NSW 2015.
24. The first valid entry drawn will win a Los Angeles, USA Holiday Package including:

b) In the event that the winner is a non-Australian resident, the prize winner will be provided with a return economy international flight for two adults to Sydney, Australia from their nearest international airport and provided with two nights 4 star accommodation in Sydney before taking the LA holiday prize as stated.
c) Compliance with any health or other government requirements is the responsibility of the prize-winner and, if applicable, their travel companion(s). It is the responsibility of the prize-winner to enquire about local issues and conditions at destinations prior to travel. The Promoter makes no representation as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination. International travel advice can be obtained from various sources, including local government, local consular offices and the website of the Australia Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
d) The prize does not include additional spending money, passports, visas, additional meals, taxes, transport to and from departure point, transfers, items of a personal nature, in-room charges or any other ancillary costs. The winner and his/her companion must depart from and return to the same departure point and travel together. Itinerary to be determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion. Frequent flyer points will not form part of the prize. Prize is subject to the standard terms and conditions of individual prize and service providers. Winner may be required to present credit card at time of accommodation check in.
e) Prize travel is subject to the airline carrier's General Booking Conditions. Prize travel is subject to availability at the time of booking and bookings must be made a minimum of 4 weeks prior to departure. The prize-winner(s) and, if applicable, their travel companion(s) will not accrue Qantas Frequent Flyer points on the prize travel or accommodation.
f) The prize cannot be transferred to any other person. There can be no changes made to travel arrangements once tickets are issued. Prize is valid for travel from 1 March 2011 to 30 April 2011. No extensions will be given. Any unused portion/s of the prize will be forfeited.
25. The result of the draw and the Promoter’s decision on all other matters are final and no correspondence will be entered into. The winner will be notified by telephone and contacted by mail within 2 days of the draw date. The winner’s name will be published in The Australian newspaper on 27 January 2011.
26. Total value of all discount vouchers is up to AU$600,000 (NSW residents only). Total value of prize trip is valued at up to AU$15,000. The prize value is based on the recommended retail value of the prize trip as provided by the prize supplier and is correct as at 1 September 2010.
27. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion, subject to any written directions from a relevant regulatory authority.
28. The prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to take the prize as stated. The prize is not exchangeable for other goods and services and cannot be redeemed as cash.
29. Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if for any reason a winner does not take the prize (or an element of the prize) by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize (or that element of the prize) will be forfeited.
30. If the prize (or part of the prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
31. If the major prize remains unclaimed by 10am (AEST) on 21 February 2011, a draw for the unclaimed major prize will take place at this time and date, at the same place as the original draw, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. The unclaimed draw winner (if any) will be notified by mail within 2 days of the draw, and their name will be published in The Australian newspaper on 5 March 2011.
32. If for any reason the promotion is not capable of running as planned (including but not limited to) infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to any written directions given from a regulatory authority) to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
33. If any act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these terms and conditions, the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation and the Promoter reserves the right (subject to any applicable law) to cancel, terminate or modify or suspend this promotion.
34. The name and photograph of the winners may be used for promotional purposes by the Promoter in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter, unless a winner otherwise notifies the Promoter at the time of accepting their prize.
35. Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the Eligible Entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
36. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees, contractors and agents) for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or Eligible Entrant; or (f) use of a prize.
37. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter and Qantas Holidays may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the Eligible Entrant. Eligible Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter or Qantas Holidays. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
38. The laws of Australia apply to this promotion to the exclusion of any other law. Eligible Entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
