The names and profile (including Images) of the ten (10) Round A Finalists will be published on the Ralph website on the dates specified in Condition 1.7(a). On Friday 14th 2011, the ten (10) Round A Finalists will be required to attend the “Ralph Search for a RalphTV Host” modeling competition event in Sydney at the Goldfish bar (Kings Cross) (time to be advised) where a team of judges (“Judging Panel”) will select three (3) Grand Finalists from the pool of ten (10) Round A finalists based on their performance at the Sydney Event and taking audience votes into account. On the same night, the three (3) Round A Grand Finalists will be required to interview a celebrity/model. The three (3) Grand Finalists will automatically be entered into the Grand Final round. The names and profiles (including a slide show of Images and footage from the Sydney Event ) of the three (3) Round A Grand Finalists will be published on the Ralph website from 21 March to 21 May 2011. (b) Round B: On 14 December 2010 at the time specified in condition 1.8 the Chief Judge will select ten (10) Finalists from the pool of Round B entrants. Round B Finalists will be required to attend the “Ralph Search for a RalphTV Host” modeling competition event in Melbourne (“Melbourne Event”) (time and venue to be advised) where the Judging Panel will select three (3) Round B Grand Finalists from the pool of ten (10) Round B finalists based on their performance at the Melbourne Event and taking audience votes into account. On the same night, the three (3) Round B Grand Finalists will be required to interview a celebrity/model. The three (3) Round B Grand Finalists will be automatically entered into the Grand Final round. The names and profiles (including a slide show of Images and footage from the Melbourne Event) of the three (3) Round B Grand Finalists will be published on the Ralph website from 21 March to 21 May 2011.
(c) Round C: On 12 January 2011 at the time specified in condition 1.8 the Chief Judge will select ten (10) Finalists from the pool of Round C entrants. The names and profile (including Images) of the ten (10) Round C finalists will be published on the Ralph website on the dates specified in Condition 1.7(c). On Friday 25 or Saturday 26 February, 2011 the ten (10)
Round C Finalists will be required to attend the “Ralph Search for a RalphTV Host” modeling competition event on the Gold Coast (“Gold Coast Event”) (time and venue to be advised) where the Judging Panel will select three (3) Grand Finalists from the pool of ten (10) Round C Finalists, based on their performance at the Gold Coast Event and taking audience votes into account.. On the same night, the three (3) Round C Grand Finalists will be required to interview a celebrity/model . The three (3) Round C Grand Finalists will be automatically entered into the Grand Final round. The names and profiles (including a slide show of Images and footage from the Gold Coast Event)) of the three (3) Round C Grand Finalists will be published on the Ralph website from 21 March to 21 May, 2011.
(d) Round D: On 12 February 2011, at the time specified in condition 1.8 the Chief Judge will select ten (10) Finalists from the pool of Round D entrants. The names and profile (including Images) of the ten (10) Round D finalists will be published on the Ralph website on the dates specified in Condition 1.7(d). On 18th or 19th March 2011, the ten (10)
Round D Finalists will be required to attend the “Ralph Search for a RalphTV Host” modeling competition event in Perth (“Perth Event”) (time and venue to be advised) where the Judging Panel will select three (3) Grand Finalists from the pool of ten (10) Round D finalists, based on their performance at the Perth Event and taking audience votes into account.. On the same night, the three (3) Round D Grand Finalists will be required to interview a celebrity/model. The three (3) Round D Grand Finalists will be automatically entered into the Grand Final round. The names and profiles (including a slide show of Images and footage from the Perth Event) of the three (3) Round D Grand Finalists will be published on the Ralph website from 21 March to 21 May, 2011.
(e) Grand Final: On 21 May 2011, at the time specified in condition 1.8 the Judging Panel will select one (1) Major Prize Winner, one (1) First Runner-Up Prize Winner , one (1) Miss Congeniality Prize Winner and one (1) Miss Personality Prize Winner from the total pool of twelve (12) Grand Finalists from Events A, B, C and D. The name and profile (including Images and footage from the relevant Event) of the Major Prize Winner, the First Runner Up Prize Winner, the Miss Personality Prize Winner and the Miss Congeniality Prize Winner will be published on the Ralph website from 22 May 2011 until 22 June 2011.
2. Prizes
2.1
There will be one (1) Major Prize Winner who will receive:
a) 1 x photographic shoot with a leading men’s style photographer; (valued at $600)
b) 1 x compact disc containing digital copies of the images from the shoot (“Shoot Images”), to be supplied to the Major Prize Winner (1) month after the shoot has been published on the RALPH website; (valued at $80)
c) 1 x published slideshow of the Shoot Images and accompanying news story to appear on RALPH.com.au; (of money can’t buy value)
d) 1 x inclusion of the Shoot Images and accompanying news story in RALPH’s web courier digital newsletter, which is circulated to approximately 60,000 subscribers; (of money can’t buy value)
e) 1 x published video clip of the Shoot Images, to appear on RALPH TV and the ninemsn Destination video player; (of money can’t buy value)
f) Return economy air flights for the Major Prize Winner only to Sydney, from the Major Prize Winner’s nearest capital city, unless the Major Prize Winner’s nearest capital city is Sydney; (valued between $140-$700, to be determined on the date of purchase)
g) Return taxi transfers from Sydney domestic airport to the photographic shoot venue; (valued at approximately $80) and
h) The opportunity to be engaged as a presenter and co-presenter on RALPH TV for twelve (12) months. The terms and conditions of engagement will be negotiated after winner notification. The Total value of the Major Prize Winner’s Prize Pack is a minimum of $760.00.
2.2.
There will be one (1) Runner-up Prize Winner, who will receive:
i) The opportunity to be engaged as a presenter and co-presenter on RALPH TV from time to time or when the Major Prize Winner is unavailable. (of money can’t buy value);
ii) 1 x Inclusion in a slideshow with the Miss Personality and Miss Congeniality Prize Winners, published on the RALPH website; (of money can’t buy value)
ii) 1 x Inclusion in an accompanying news story to appear on RALPH.com.au; (of money can’t buy value) and

There will be one (1) Miss Personality Prize winner, who will receive:
i) 1 x Inclusion in a slideshow along with the Runner Up and Miss Congeniality Prize Winners, published on the RALPH website; (of money can’t buy value)
ii) 1 x inclusion in an accompanying news story to appear on RALPH.com.au; (of money can’t buy value) and
iii) 1 x inclusion in an editorial promotion of the news story to appear in RALPH’s web courier digital newsletter, which is circulated to approximately 80,000 subscribers; (of money can’t buy value).

There will be one (1) Miss Congeniality Prize Winner, who will receive:
i)1 x Inclusion in a slideshow along with the Runner Up and Miss Personality Prize Winners; (of money can’t buy value).
ii) 1 x inclusion in an accompanying news story to appear on RALPH.com.au; (of money can’t buy value) and
iii) 1 x inclusion in an editorial promotion of the news story to appear in RALPH’s web courier digital newsletter, which is circulated to approximately 80,000 subscribers; (of money can’t buy value).
2.5 Other Prize Conditions:
(a) The major prize comprises only that which is listed in the above Condition 2.1. The major prize does not include any costs incurred in claiming or using the prize, including, but not limited to, any spending money, meals, passports, insurances, transport transfers (not explicitly mentioned) or any other incidental or ancillary expenses.
(b) Details of the photographic shoot, including time, date and venue will be arranged between the Promoter and the Major Prize Winner at the time of winner notification. The photographic shoot will take place no later than one (1) month following winner notification.
(c) The Major Prize Winner’s return flights (if the Major Prize Winner does not reside in New South Wales) will be booked by the Promoter, for the same day as the photo shoot. Accommodation forms no part of the major prize.
(d) For the avoidance of doubt, no prizes will be awarded to any of the finalists who are not the Major Prize Winner, the Runner-Up Prize Winner, the Miss Congeniality Prize Winner of the Miss Photogenic Prize Winner. All finalists will be required to pay for their own transport, meals, drinks, accommodation and any other expenses incurred in attending the events or participating in the competition.
(e) The Promoter retains the right to engage alternative RALPH TV presenters during the duration of the Major Prize Winner’s and Runner Up Prize Winner’s engagement.
2.6 The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
2.7 All prize items are valued inclusive of GST and the Promoter takes no responsibility for any variations in item values. The prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. In the event that any prize item is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize item of equal or greater value. Any taxes (other than GST, if any) which may be payable as a consequence of a winner receiving the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
2.8 The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality/suitability/merchantability of any of the goods/services offered as prizes; and accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to prizes in transit.
3. Who may enter?
The only persons who may enter and be awarded prizes are females who are residents of the place specified in Condition 1.1, who have attained the age specified in Condition 1.2, who are not (i) employees of, or contractors to, the Promoter or any of its agencies involved with this competition, or (ii) members of the immediate family of such employees and contractors.
"Immediate family" means spouse, de facto spouse, parent, natural or adopted child, and sibling (whether natural or adopted by a parent), whether or not they live in the same household as the employee/contractor.
“Promoter” means ninemsn Pty Ltd (ABN 33 077 753 461).
4. Entrants bound by conditions
By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these conditions.
5. How to enter
5.1 To enter, entrants must:
a) Read and accept these terms and conditions.
b) Go to the competitions section at

c) Enter their details (including full name, address, daytime telephone number and email address, among other things), select which round (being Round A,B,C or D) they will compete in and attach up to five (5) recent images of themselves (no more than 2MB per Image);
d) Answer the following question in 25 words or less: Why do you think you would make a perfect RALPH TV host?
5.2 Submitting Images
Entrants must attach images with their entry in jpeg or eps formats, but the Promoter accepts most standard formats also. Each individual image must not exceed 2MB.
5.3 In submitting Images, each entrant grants to the Promoter an exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, transferable, royalty-free license to use, copy, reproduce, edit, modify and exploit the Images (by means of any and all media) , and to sublicense such rights to others, for any purpose whatsoever, including but not limited to:
(i) Reproducing the Images by any means;
(ii) Incorporating the Images in any of the Promoter’s websites;
(iii) communicating the Images in any medium;
(iv) advertising and promotion;
(v) editing or modifying the Images in any manner which, in the Promoter’s absolute discretion, is considered appropriate; and
(vi) reproducing the Images in magazines or other print media.
In submitting Images, entrants consent to, and waive all moral rights in respect of, anything done in relation to the Images by the Promoter or its sub-licensees in the exercise of the Promoter’s licence rights under these Terms. The Promoter or its sub-licensees may attribute the entrant as the owner of the Images in any use of the Images, but each entrant acknowledges that the Promoter or its sub-licensees may not include any attribution of the entrant in their discretion, and each entrant consents to the Promoter doing so.
5.4 By entering this competition, each Entrant warrants to the Promoter on a continuing basis that:
i) The Images included in their entry are a photograph(s) of the Entrant (and the entrant is over 18 years old and the Images submitted were taken of the Entrant when they were 18 years of age or over);
ii) The entrant owns all right title and interest (including all intellectual property rights) in the Images;
iii) The entrant has the right and authority to grant to the Promoter the license set out in these Terms;
iv) The entrant has not broken any laws in obtaining or providing and licensing the Images to the Promoter;
v) The exercise by the Promoter and/or its sub licensees of any of the rights granted by the entrant under these Terms will not at any time infringe any intellectual property right, moral right or any other right of any person.
5.2.2 The Promoter warrants that:
a. it will use reasonable endeavours to review all Images which are in a readable format;
b. Will, after review, decide, in the Promoter’s absolute discretion, whether the format of the Images is valid;
c. Is not obliged to use an Image received and the Promoter make no warranties in this regard, nor does the Promoter warrant that it will review all Images submitted as part of an entry.
6. Selection of Finalists and Grand Prize Winner
6.1 Finalists
At the relevant times and dates specified in Conditions 1.9 (a) - (d), the Chief Judge will select ten (10) finalists from each of Round A, B, C and D, based on the following criteria:
(a) The creative and/or literary merit of the Entrant’s response to the question asked in Condition 5(d); and
(b) the visual merit of the Entrant’s Images.
The names and profiles (including Images) of the ten (10)finalists from each of the four (4) rounds will be published on the RALPH Magazine web site between the relevant dates specified in Condition 1.7(a)-(d).
6.1.2 At each of the four (4)events, at the times and dates specified in Condition 1.9 (a) – (d), the Judging Panel will select three (3) Grand Finalists from each event , being a total of twelve (12) finalists. The twelve (12) Grand Finalists will be automatically entered into the Grand Final. Between the dates specified in condition 1.9 (a) – (d), the names and profiles (including images) of the twelve (12) Grand Finalists will be published on the RALPH Magazine website and RALPH TV.
Each entry will be individually judged. Chance plays no part in determining the finalists or prize winner
6.1.3 Grand Final Round Winners At the time and date specified in Condition 1.9 (e) the Judging Panel will choose one (1) Major Prize Winner, (1) Runner-Up Prize Winner, one (1) Miss Congeniality Prize Winner and one (1) Miss Personality Prize Winner from the pool of twelve (12) Grand Finalists, based on the following criteria:
(a) The creative and/or literary merit of their response to the question asked in Condition 5(d);
(b) the visual merit and photogenic quality of their Images;
(c) the visual merit of the their footage from the event (including footage of their interview); and
(d) the number of audience votes received (by means of online voting by RALPH website users).
6.2 Each finalist will be individually judged based on the criteria in the above condition 6.1.3 (a)-(d). Chance plays no part in determining the winners.
6.3 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant submitting an entry which infringes a third party’s intellectual property rights, or in the opinion of the Promoter, includes objectionable content, including but not limited to profanity, nudity, potentially insulting, scandalous, inflammatory or defamatory images or language.
6.4 Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
7. Special conditions of entry
7.1 All entries (including images) must be:
a. the original independent creation of the entrant;
b. owned by the entrant; and
c. free of any claims, including copyright or trademark claims, by other parties.
7.2 It is a condition of the awarding of the prizes that the Major Prize Winner, the Runner Up Prize Winner, the Miss Congeniality Prize Winner of the Miss Personality Prize Winner must, if requested to do so by the Promoter, sign and return any Affirmation of Eligibility to Enter, Ownership of Entry, and Release and Compliance statements. The failure to return requested documents by any prize winner will result in the entitlement to the prize being forfeited and the selection of another prize winner .
7.3 The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
8. Limitations on entry
8.1 Each entrant may only enter once.
9. Duration
This competition starts at the Sydney times and dates specified in Conditions 1.9 (a)-(d)
10. No quality, etc, representations/exclusion of liability
The Promoter:
10.1 make no representations or warranties as to the quality/suitability/merchantability of any of the goods/services offered as prizes;
10.2 accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries; and;
10.3 is not liable, to the extent permitted by law, for any loss suffered or sustained, to person or property and including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, or its servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to the prize winners and, where applicable, to any family/persons accompanying the winner.
10.4 Condition 10 does not affect, and is not intended to affect, any rights a consumer might have, which are not able to be excluded under applicable Australian consumer protection laws. To the fullest extent permitted by law, any liability of the Promoter or its servant or agents for breach of any such rights is limited to the payment of the cost of having the prize supplied again.
11. Notification and publication
All finalists, the Major Prize Winner, the Runner-Up Prize Winner, Miss Congeniality and Miss Personality Prize Winners will each be notified by telephone and/or email, using the details provided in their entry, and the names of all finalists and the Major Prize Winne0,r the Runner-Up Prize Winner, Miss Congeniality and Miss Personality Prize Winners will be published on the dates specified in Conditions 1.7(a)-(d) and 1.9(a)-(d).
12. Use of Headings
Headings and subheadings are inserted for convenience only and shall not be used to interpret the text of these conditions in any way adverse to an interpretation in favour of the Promoter.
13. Ownership of entries
13.1 All entries become and remain the property of the Promoter.
13.2 The Promoter reserves the right to use the content of the Finalists’ entries and the Major Prize Winner’s entry for the purpose of future promotions.
14. Internet
14.1 If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including but not exclusively limited to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
14.2 The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, entries.
14.3 The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received by the Promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this competition.
14.4 CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR THE INFORMATION ON A WEBSITE, OR TO OTHERWISE UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS COMPETITION, MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, WHETHER SUCCESSFUL OR NOT, THE PROMOTER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
15. LIABILITY, INDEMNITY AND RELEASE
15.1 In consideration for the Promoter accepting the Entrant’s entry, the Entrant releases and forever discharges the Promoter from all claims that the Entrant may have or may have had but for this release arising from or in connection with any entrant’s participation in this promotion; the winner’s acceptance and use of the Prize.
15.2 The entrant indemnifies and holds harmless the Promoter to the extent permitted by law in respect of any claim by any person (including but not limited to other entrants in the promotion), arising as a result of or in connection with the entrant’s participation in the promotion.
15.3 In this Condition 15, “all claims” means and includes any action, suit, proceeding, claim, demand, damage, penalty, cost or expense however arising.
