Luckily The Hi-Fi, Melbourne are hosting their sideshow on January 5th for those who might miss the festival. Combined TheLBLM and The Hi-Fi are giving one lucky member of TheLBLM the chance to win a double pass.
The Mystery Jets ran a series of illegal parties on Eel Pie Island attracting large crowds in their early days. They soon after signed to 679 Recordings. 2005 saw a number of singles and their TV debut on MTV alongside Editors, The Kooks, Clor and The Longcut. The Start of 2006 saw the band gain their highest charting single with “The Boy Who Ran Away” play the ShockWaves NME Awards Tour and make their first appearance on Top of the Pops.
The band released their debut UK album “Making Dens” on March 6th of 2006. Later that same month the band put on a tribute show to one of their biggest influences, Syd Barret. Performers included Kid Harpoon, Lupen Crook, Kate Nash and more.
Their second album “Twenty One” was released on 24th March 2008. On 8th June 2008, Mystery Jets performed at the Scottish RockNess Music Festival. Then in 2009 they began recording their third studio album “Sertonin” released on 5th July 2010.

Win a Double Pass to the Mystery Jets Festival Sideshow at The Hi-Fi, Melbourne on January 5th.
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of the conditions of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
2. Employees of Beam Global Australia, Coca-Cola Amatil, their agents, contractors, consultants and their immediate families (including de facto spouses) or any other persons assisting with the competition are not eligible to enter.
3. The Promoter, in its absolute discretion, reserves the right to verify the validity of all entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, including but not limited to, anyone who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions of Entry.
4. The Promoter is Beam Global Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 85 003 953 357) of Level 1, Building 2, 49 Frenchs Forest Rd, Frenchs Forest NSW (Promoter).
5. Winners must be prepared to travel to 125 Swanston Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 for the event, which will take place on Wednesday, 5th January 2011, doors open at 8pm. The winner must be prepared to travel to and from the event at their own expense and through their own means.
6. The winner will receive the following prize: 2 x tickets valued at $42.60 AUD each, total prize value of $85.20 AUD.
7. Entries to the competition commence Friday 26th November 2010 and will close on Wednesday, 15th December 2010 5pm EST.
8. The draw will take place at Rockstar Management (224 Riley Street, Surry Hills 2010) at 5pm NSW EST on Wednesday, 15th December 2010.
9. The winner will be informed about how they will receive their tickets when they are notified about winning the competition.
10. All entrants must be aged 18 years or older. Proof of age will be required.
11. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, as a result of taking any of the prizes, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
12. All winners agree to drink responsibly and abide by the RSA laws of the governing state.
13. Prize is not transferrable. No correspondence will be entered into.
14. Winners will be contacted by phone and email, and winner’s names will be posted on theLBLM.com on Wednesday, 15th December 2010.
15. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
